I'm pretty sure explosions don't work that way. Shouldn't the concussive forces of the explosions still have affected him despite hiding inside of the snake? Or even at the beginning when he had the snake rise up around him?
@xXxbl00dtr3nxXx. 1st itachi built that fight to seal orochimaru and give sasuke stronger eyes (so that sasuke could kill madara). 2nd he went 4 to 1 against killer bee, got saved by biting the girl, then saved from the lariat by juugo, and finally had to cripple his eyes to think he stopped bee (he didn't bee just wanted to use him so he could go on his own) But yes he was as strong as 1tail naruto when he did full release of the curse mark.

Oro was half dead when that fight started, and still almost lost and would have if not for how apparently the Sharingan can do anything Kishi thinks up. Danzo was well past his prime and still almost beat him. When did Sasuke beat Kaka? The fight got interrupted, that's not a win. The 4th died sealing the fox not fighting Oro. According to Tobi, Naruto is actually stronger at the moment.
