    Hi, thanks for this wonderful video .. I followed it for my application fill up.
    I have one doubt though on sequencing of project. Per my understanding we should start with latest project first and go backward while adding projects. I did the same, but when I downloaded my application at the end of filling all required details. The exported pdf shows my Projects are in reverse order having the oldest one at the top. Is that expected ?
    Thank you

      I don't think the order matters... Just input the projects with the right dates and it will calculate for any over lapping projects automatically.

    Thank you for this. 2 questions-
    1) should you take the 35 hours needed to sit for exam before you sign up for PMI application?
    2) is it better to fully read the PMBOK before taking the 35 hours or take the 35 hour course first then read the book as needed?

      Hey! You're welcome. 1 - Yes. There are a lot of options out there. Easiest one I found was velociteach (found in video description), or if you have some college, you can use some of that. 2 - To be honest, I wouldn't even bother reading the PMBOK... I would take the 35 hours of training and then I would get a book like the one I mentioned in my video. Again, check out velociteach.. they have several study options that will get you the 35 hours needed plus course materials.. That may be all you need to get through the test. Good luck!!

    I have a question about leading a project. If the original scope of the project is a large ($5M+) that require a lot of work from each department of the company to complete, I wasn't the main project manager of the entire thing, but I was the manager of a department that have a huge to do list. I had direct reports and was leading a smaller part of the project with clear goal and deadline (albeit similar to the main project). Would that be acceptable or do I have to be the main project manager for it to count?

      I would leave yourself as the project manager, even though you aren't the main PM. Some big projects have multiple PMs.

    Would you recommend the CAPME option through the PMI website to obtain the 35 hours? Or have you known anyone to take it? I’m researching courses to obtain the 35 so I’ll either go with your recommendation or CAPME. Thanks for this!!!

      Hey Nabber, the easiest way to get the 35 hours is from velociteach. I believe I put a link in the video description.

    It should be more then 200 words for project description

    • @wisdom-for-life
      @wisdom-for-life  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The space provided when filling out the application is limited to around 500 or 550 characters (can't remember exact number) for project description.. for me, this would work out to about 100 words or so.

    Great video! While I was registering ie. Create a PMI account I saw this question- How many total years of full-time work experience do you currently have? Can I include my 1year internship experience into this (not related to project management). wanted to know if that counts as an experience?

    • @wisdom-for-life
      @wisdom-for-life  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I would include it, but understand that when you do apply for PMP, you will need to have many hours of project management experience... I forget the exact hours and if you have a degree, the number of hours changes (as explained in the video).

      @varshinikohli4086 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beewear122 I don't think overall experience matters, they are specifically looking for your Project Management experience. Answering to your question- I did add my internship to my overall experience. Also, I cleared at my first attempt with AT's in all domains.

    Thanks for the video, one question: what if the project experience you use on your application is a former employer / or the direct supervisor you worked with/for no longer works at the company?

    • @wisdom-for-life
      @wisdom-for-life  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check the PMI website. I believe you can mail it to them or if you can't locate them, then anyone from the company can sign it for you.
