@@epicsponge7934this is why the argument about piracy being bad when used to gain access of indie, obscure, and generally lower-budget games, series, and other works is valid because individual developers work very hard for those. however when its a triple a game made by a company with hundreds of millions of dollars to use it is not affecting anyone if you pirate one single 60 dollar aaa game
@epicsponge7934 How much did Adobe pay you to say this
@@epicsponge7934Spreading the word about a game you pirated and enjoyed is at worst an equal trade, Hakita Ultrakill says.
Because he knows about it doesn’t mean he pirated it? And what if he did pirate it but then bought it to support it?
I love references to that one "you are a pirate" animation from back in the day. Very classy.
wait OMG is that the pirate walk from that old "you are a pirate" animation at the "and torrent the whole world" part?!? O_O

It's not stealing if companies say you don't own what you've bought.
ubisoft just made pirating them a rule.
Pirates might own your software more than if you bought it outright depending on DRM. When software's cracked you don't have such things and are free to... do whatever with the software!
@@MrMeow-dk2tx Do what you want cus the software is free. You are a pirate!

My class actually gave up on teaching Zbrush because of their licensing and DRM nonsense! Literally had to rewrite parts of the class because of how bad of a user experience it was
If I made a free game that had no ads and an optional donation section I could beat the market and become the most successful person in the world!
And, people wouldn't be able to pirate it because it would be free!

Ngl that walk cycle reminded me of that really old pirate animation. Where they are like “You are a pirate” and there was a ninja who was thrusting a lot, like he only used his hips to hold the flag and to turn the ship 😂.
Edit: okay so finishing the final few seconds of the video, I feel rather silly 💀.
I think it's the easter egg to that animation by Fred Perry
Was just gonna say that it was an Easter egg to the fred Perry "you are a pirate" animated video
That mf drew a lot of hentai while his animation went viral.
This has so much of that late 2000's early 2010's internet feel I adore it
i love the reference to the animation "your are a pirate" from a decade ago. Id recognise that walk from anywhere
getting blasted with the internet aesthetic of my childhood, unironically i love it
This whole short just reminds me of early 2000s esthetic: the 2000s emo design, the use of 3D model bit crunched sprites, Mega Man doing the Cabbage Patch Dance, the use of pastel colors, the Windows XP sounds and visuals. Overall very nostalgic feeling vid, nice job! Oh and of course the You Are A Pirate song at the end. Early to mid 2000s style Forever!!! XD
Remember morality and legality are not the same
I saw this first on Instagram I think and ended up finding it on Spotify and adding it to my playlist and I never saw the animation again until today and I'm so happy

I'd download a pizza
I downloaded paint park plus on ps Vita illegally
I personally feel like without a car to go with it, pirating the software in a car is pointless.
People who don't think downloading a physical object from an entirely digital (and fake) source is possible.
I would download a house
Feels like an ode to my childhood when I used to get a new game every week. Not to mention "you are a pirate" bit bringing back fond memories of TF2 and Gmod. Everything about this is perfect.

The only times it has a victim is when its a smaller business
@@Thesigmaone747even then it’s mostly a issue of availability
And EA! Don't forget!
@@Thesigmaone747 There was a research (sponsored by the greedy corporations btw), that concluded that small businesses actually benefit from piracy. In simple words, people's desire not to pay any money is much greater than their desire to get a specific product. If they can't pirate it, they'll just go look for a free/piratable analog. So the business doesn't get any money from these people anyway. However if they do pirate it, the product bacically gets free advertising from the pirates.
