Just love listening to you ( your accents are amazing) and seeing the history and beautiful sights of your part of the country, much love from london 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤❤❤❤
We lived five minutes away from Daniel Boone Rd we loved their burgers we're so good we're about ten minutes away from town and 20 minutes away from Kingsport
After my sister & I were born and started school my mom went back to work as a teacher. Her first job was in Mendota, Virginia. I think it is a few miles NE of Gate City. I remember trips there in our 1930 Ford Pheoton convertible. My father bought this car for her to drive to work. Ended up being my first car when I was 14 yrs. old. Remember the Famous Carter family store? We used to stop there......memories!!!
It's nice to see the panhandle of Virginia finally being included in Appalachia. Most people think of West Virginia and Kentucky when that term is used but the panhandle of Virginia is often excluded. If you're ever driving on Skyline drive through Virginia near I-81 and got off of any of the exits, you would see some very very poor areas. On the contrary, this part of the state is some of the most beautiful and welcoming. Nice to see it previewed on this channel.
WOW! I am so happy to see you folks! I thought you had closed your channel as I have not received any notifications. HUH! Wonder why!!! How in the world is the family? It sounds like little Gianna is growing quickly. Isn't she about 1 year old now? This is quite a historic area to visit. Delightful place as I recall. Thank you for another great video. Take care.
Thanks for the memories! I am from Bristol. Grew up in Bristol Virginia but now I'm 78 retired and live in south Florida.

Good to see Melody again! It was so sweet hearing Baby Girl yelling for her "DaDaDaDa".
Both sides of my family are from Scott Co. The Hob Nob has been there a long time. I remember eating there as a child in the 50s.
Thanks!
Great video thanks
I luv Gate City. And the Campus Diner and Hob Knob !!

Congrats guys on your baby 😊
That antiques sign reminds me of the Tennessee Theatre sign.
Nice that Walgreens kept the Broadwater name.
Love getting peanut butter milkshakes at the Hob Nob
The Hob Nob is a treasure.
Hob Nob has the best Cheese Burger in Southwest Va. Nothing fancy just a good old fashion 50's / 60's style hamburger.
Kol video
I love tater tots
Shane, you should have worn a hat and dark sunglasses, some kind of disguise in a town where someone wants to kill ya😅
