Completely seamless editing and cross fading between songs with no loss of tempo, pitch, or continuation. It's a brilliant work of editing.

I remember how this medley went up against (while, not exactly at the same time) Hooked on Classics and Stars on 45, which were dance singles. I found this mix more ingenious because the tempo actually changes a few times.

I like almost all of the songs in this medley. Those songs defines their music. Cotton Fields and Sloop John B won't fit to be included in this medley, since they only covered both songs which were created by other people. However, both songs are my favourite of them.
Don't get me wrong. I like some of the Beach Boys songs, but feel they were largely over-rated. Seems only Americans still think they were the bees knees. Let's be honest. MANY of their songs sounded the same which is sock rotting.,
Sam Toucan Well, their early work did sound similar in terms of their voice but what do you expect, I don't expect Kendrick Lamar to sound like A Tribe Called Quest in his other songs.

Maybe people did so much coke in the early 80s that they didn't have the patience for whole songs -- there were so many medleys that charted.
