Fallout 4's biggest mod is finally here! And it takes place in my own backyard, London. But of course I had to make a bit of a challenge out of it, so we are playing it on the Survival difficulty and trying to survive the post nuclear apocalypse of London.
Not only does the mod completely change Fallout 4, from the map, to the quests and even parts of the gameplay but I had so much fun with it that I spent more time on this game save than any other of mine from the Fallout series.

The fact that robo margot has an entire subplot where she was "too sexy" and they kept trying to change it so it would be a sex robot because so many people wanted it to be and then when it WAS made for that purpose everyone lost interest.

The way you said "It feels like I'm not playing Fallout 4 but I'm not" I completely understand. I'd feel the exact same way if someone made a similar mod but in New York City instead and focused on all the boroughs, not just Manhattan.
I miss my city so much... Nothing but pure hatred for Florida (Where I'm at now and have been for 4 years unfortunately.)

As a guy from the Washington DC area, it was surreal when I was a kid playing fallout 3 and I could walk around the national mall and shit. Seeing Jabo experience it with better graphics and more accurately depicted than 3, I resonate with his freakouts when he sees something from irl so hard lol only 20 minutes in and I’m glad I’ve got something long to watch :)
As a Californian, I enjoyed seeing Bakersfield in it's natural pre war form in Fallout 1
As I watch you take a full minute to reload I just got the "I own a musket for home defense because that's what the founding fathers intended" copypasta stuck in my head

I've probably put close to 100 hours in to FOL and I haven't even finished the main story. It's just so fun to walk around and there is so much to find and do

I'd like to preface this by saying I absolutely LOVE this mod, and it's probably the best mod ever made for any game. If mods could win awards, this one would definitely come in first. It's insane the love and work put into it! I'd like to point some things out, though.. The MAP is smaller than Fallout 4s base map. However, there are the same if not more EXPLORABLE locations than the base game and far harbor combined. That being said, most of the exploration is pointless and has no stroytelling reason or reward for exploring anything outside of the story. While this mod is absolutely stunning and incredibly fun, it feels like a mod. If this came out as a 60 dollar game, we would be incredibly disappointed. The storytelling is okay. The world lacks that Fallout environment aspect where your surroundings tell you half a story, and your mind finishes the rest. There's a lack of character in almost every npc with their whole thing just being different versions of "I'm British." There's no quality control for the voices, and while they're all mostly fantastic, it really throws you off (along with the fact that all their mothers wanted them to be farmers, and boy do they tell you over and over). Sure, there's "a lot" to do, but when most of the stuff to do is just wander around an empty space and pick up scrap, that doesnt feel great to play.
I think right now people are still in the honeymoon stage, and that's fine, but saying this is better or on the same level as an actual Fallout game is not only offensive to the people who made the games and worked on them, but it's also fueled by excitement and want for the next installment of the franchise. Again, I LOVE this mod up and down, but at the end of the day, it needs a lot of polish and some extra world building content in order to be on the same level as a true Fallout game.
I'm only saying all of this in a way to give criticism! I'm not trying to dish-out hate or to put anyone down! Again, I LOVE this mod and think it's great for what it is! I apologize if I came off as hate-mongering

This just proves that the entirety of fallout is a combat simulator designed by or for british forces in the event of doomsday. No american uses meter to describe the length of an eel.
I love the game. The devs did a great job. I hope other mod authors build and expand on what they have already did. Would be cool to see more locations or have more quests added.
