Haha I loved this, and the radio communications were alright. As one to operate a radio, you'd have callsigns, and you'd go for example: "Alpha-1 to Alpha-6, do you copy" but you got the rule "make it short and straight forward" spot on. Loved it in general, great vid! 😃
I know it’s not what you were going for, but I imagined myself as a Spartan III on Reach who was backing up a scattered group of marines. You were childhood friends with one of them before your family was killed by the Covenant and you were adopted by the UNSC. At this battle in the audio, I’m holding off waves of aliens on my own to buy time for evacuation shuttles to land. A nearby explosion causes my shielding to fail, and as I try to get my bearings, a jackal with a needle rifle shoots me in the gut. As I begin to fade I wipe one of her tears, then I rip my dog tags off and hand them to her. “Get off… This planet… Live.”
For me I imagine this scene is in Afghan or Iraq in a city like Sadr City, that the listener is on top of a building or inside a high rise building/ half finished construction building. Pulling overwatch/security for a DA team. Then gets contact from a adjacent house
Pro tip. When someone has a deep wound to an extremity, apply a tourniquet above the wound and tighten until the wound stops bleeding. A common myth is tourniquets will cause that limb to be amputated but this is untrue, it will take about 4 hours before a limb with a tourniquet will reach this point. And it is always better to lose a limb, than your life. If a tourniquet is not available do not try to make one by yourself. By the time you are done the person would bleed out and died. Instead have another person use a shirt or jacket to tie around the limb and use a stick to tighten it. If you are by yourself then you just have to go without one. Then to stop the bleeding, DO NOT just cover the wound with cloth or gauze. This will only stop the blood from leaving the body but will continue to cause internal bleeding. Instead clear out the pool of blood from the open wound gently, careful not to remove the blood that is hardening to stop bleeding. Then look for the major bleeding artery, it will be splirtting the most blood and will be coming out at the rate of a heart beat. Then apply pressure to that artery. You have to put your fingers and cloth/guaze inside the wound to do this. Then carefully add more cloth to inside the wound. Make sure to still apply pressure to that artery. DO NOT LEAVE, even if you wrap the wound with a bandage the bleeding will continue if there is no direct pressure on the major artery. Just sit and wait for emergency services. Wow I just typed a lot. Anyways the more you know
I can indeed say having one on suck balls from personal experience 😂. But they do save many lives. Also every soldier carries there own JFAK with one in it
That was very sad. Part 2 the listener is in a coma. And she confesses her feelings and then We wake up to her crying over us. Then scoulds us once again for being so reckless.
Plot twist: Listener has his last moments with himself. A blank room, suddenly a white light starts to shine as the Listener crosses the empty, white hall. Getting closer to the light, a smile grows and takes place on his lips. “I may now die in piece. I may now die knowing I have heard what I needed to, I may now die knowing I will not be forgotten by the one I love. And I may now die knowing I shall remain in the minds of those saved by my service. And my beloved… my beloved shall have a life of happiness, she shall live for both of us and enjoy everyday as if it was the last… as I should’ve enjoyed mine. I shall live in the memories of those I love, and the one whose bullet unluckily trespassed me, shall now carry my soul with them through their biggest nightmares. This. This is the fate, the fate caused by a single wrong step. This is the impact I have caused. But I may now rest… the piece will come once those white flags rise upon the full of fighters sky…
