I feel like this song was made for multiple reasons, 1. being a goodbye to the fans for when he enlists in 3 days, 2 . being a professional jab at the antis, explaining how hard it was to write the letter he did, and 3. To tell the fans how much he cherishes them for supporting him through everything, and how he wants us all to just be happy.😭😊

Every EXO member who enlist gifted us an album or a song.
This is a gift song before he enlist in the military and I guess his message to all the fans after all the issue.
It's so sad because Hello in korean in annyeong since is the same and goodbye and the day after he released this song he announced his enlistment. It's literally Jongdae's letter to exo-ls telling us how much he missed us and how he felt during this past year. It's so heartbreaking
Ever since Chen got the scandal (some people or antis consider it a scandal, especially in South Korea where pregnancy outside of marriage is still taboo. But yeah I don't think it's a scandal. I am happy with chen's marriage and ofc our first daughter) of getting married and having a baby, he has received a lot of hatred. Almost all of Korea-exol became his antis. SM limits any updates about Chen, they do cropping, blurring or whatever to cover up Chen's presence even when Chanyeol mentioned him at an event. This is because there are many antis who want Chen to leave EXO, on the other hand, international exol still gives him lots of love and support. And this video is the first time Chen has shown himself to the public again. The lyrics of this song are very relevant to the current condition, Chen is very scared, Chen is afraid of hurting EXO-l, Chen misses exol but is afraid to just say hello. His mind was too complicated, but only the word 'Hello' could be said. This song is also Chen's farewell song who will go to the military on October 26th. The title is Hello, hello means anyoeng in Hangeul, meanwhile anyoeng means Hello/ Goodbye.

The pronunciation of "Hello" also means "goodbye" in Korean. Everyone thought this was a comeback for Chen, but 13 hours after this song released, we cried harder. I think this is a letter from Chen to EXO-Ls, especially to those ex-exol who give him difficult time after announcing his marriage. I hope he'll be happy and well.

I'm a fan of EXO (I feel I don't deserve to be called exol). seeing all the lyrics and even the words in this song is very very emotional, I can't hold back my tears while watching the MV, the MV also turns out to have a lot of theories, whether it's about Chen who is going to the military and maybe this song is his last greet before he going to military and also his desire to greet exol but he's too scared, and even he goes forward alone without anyone which in other words 'lonely' and many more theory. ahhh I cannot hold my tears even when writing this I cry again. the whole song is breaking my heart into pieces :(
Along with a goodbye letter because he's enlisting I think he really expressed how he felt during the time he got so much hate from people who felt they have a right over his personal life. He was so strong through it all but it breaks my heart to realise everything that must have crossed his mind during that period of time. We don't deserve Chen he's such a pure soul :')
His enlistment is on Oct 26 so this was his gift to us EXO-L before he goes to the military :(. Xiumin, DO and Suho also release a song before they went to the military

Most reactors aren't as aware of how much crap has gone on, so they aren't going to get the message, even if they read the lyrics. He had the captions on. He's a performer, so he is reacting more to the dancing and/or vocals.

Wow this hit so hard when I listened to it for the first time. There is something so raw about it and I just felt the emotion from the first note and then when he says hello for the first time I knew it was going to be amazing and deep-set on the emotional side.
