No other group has ever touched me by their friendship, the way SHINee does. They truly feel like brothers instead of just group members. Even when they are teasing eachother, you can feel the love there and i also love how they make sure to always include Jjong and mention him whenever they can, making sure that he lives on. Key's regular posts about him always put a smile on my face

I hate to say it but Shinee and its remaining members never fully recovered as a coherent kpop group after Jonghyun's passing as he was the glue that kept them all focused and united together.
I don't know where you got that impression but I think they're doing very well with all the solo projects, activities, and the DCM promotions. Of course, they miss Jonghyun but they have to move on and develop their own talents and interests and do things they want to do as a group. They can't be who they were 5 or 6 years ago. Everyone grows up and matures after everything that happens. They're still talented singers, performers, and producers. They proved that with their solo albums. They don't need Jonghyun for that. It's their own hard work and creativity that should be appreciated more now separate from him. You should see them as their own person instead of attaching Jonghyun to everything they do. That's not fair to them and I'm sure Jonghyun would not like that to plague them for the rest of their lives.
I appreciate your opinion on this matter. And yes, they are not fully recovered from it. Like, they lost their brother. They spend their youth together in pursuing their dreams. Everywhere they go remind them of him. Would you be fully recovered by it. But, they still overcome their loss by getting further in their career and being happy because that is what connects them to their brother and that is what their brother would want them to do. And coherent group? What do you mean by that? They are still united till this day. How do you think they're still able to perform on stage like that? Because they have each other's and each member's family's support. And they know, they need to do this to honor their forever fifth member. If they are not united, they would have been on permanent hiatus after what happened and possibly disband after their contract ended. This year makes it their third time contract renewal with SM.
excuse my ignorance but i thought taemin was still about a month away from being discharged? or is he just able to go to these concerts even before he's discharged? or is he already discharged? i'm a bit confused here lol
My understanding is they can earn "days off". They are not allowed to promote or make any money because technically they belong to the miltary while enlisted.

From my experience serving in the military in Singapore we do have off days like weekends or weekdays. I assumed Taemin took time off and attend the concert but he can't be in any picture due to him still serving in the military hence he is not in the group photos.

He's less than a month away from being discharged but they are allowed to go out on occasion sometimes even if they are still in service.
