  • Hotel Review of the iconic Raffles Singapore, one of South East Asia's most luxurious hotels and a National Monument for Singapore, having first opened in 1887, and named after Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of Singapore.
Fresh from a two year facelift, Raffles is currently one of the greatest places in Singapore to stay - as well as to dine. The extensive two year renovation has taken every aspect of this extraordinary hotel to a whole new level.
From the well dressed (and famous) doorman to the exceptional and sophisticated 10 new restaurants and bars, 115 newly refurbished and refined rooms and suites, and the breathtaking bohemian chandelier, that glistens with 8,214 pieces of crystals, this is certainly glamour and a touch of elegantly refined glitz every step of the way.
All suites come with their own Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary non-alcoholic mini bar (hidden in a strikingly creative and elegant luggage-like table) and each room is filled with exclusive decadent bath amenities by Ormonde Jayne.
“Raffles Hotel stands for all the fables of the exotic East”, said playwright, Somerset Maugham. This is a hotel not to miss for any luxury hotel fans.

Lucky you! Have a cocktail but the pool for me. One of my favourite places in south east Asia to chill.

Always loved this hotel. Been here many times over the years. Very sad to see they've gotten rid of the bar and billiards room, and put an Italian restaurant there instead 🤷🏻‍♂️ also no pistachio nut shells on the long bar floor!! What's going on!

Pistachios?? Where have the peanuts gone? How odd. The refurbishment is pretty swish and I love that Italain restaurant - amazing food and interiors.

@@where2fromhere It was always pistachio nut shells on the floor, always. The bar and billiards room was historical and had legendary stories attached to it. I feel this great hotel has started to lose it's tradition. It's that tradition that always set it apart from the rest of modern Singapore. Am not against new Singapore at all, it's wonderful. I was just hoping Raffles could keep it's tradition.
