I do not like that she chose drugs over her daughter. However, credit to her for recognizing she wasn't in a position to take care of her daughter. She 100% did the right thing when she gave her ex custody. Can you imagine what could have happened had she not done so? She could have had her daughter in the car while under the influence and had an accident. She could have left her home alone to go out and party. Her abusive ex-BF who was arrested on multiple occasions for violence could have harmed the child. None of these scenarios happened because she was smart enough to do the right thing. She has come a long way and seems to be doing well now. She looks great and its wonderful to see. I hope she continues to do well and most of all, I hope she is able to be in her daughter's life more and more.

When my parents divorced, my father attempted to leave the country with my brother and I. He was unsuccessful. You have to be very careful when your ex has citizenship somewhere else. Hayden will probably never regain any form of custody after signing papers...

Well there are two sides to every story. If she was using substances and drinking it is unlikely she remembers any conversation and the father probably needed an immediate solution to get his child into a healthy environment. I'm glad she's better she can certainly help people by sharing her story but i doubt him asking her to just take the child for a while would have worked. Some things are almost impossible to understand unless you experience it. From what I have seen on the internet and people around me, addiction is a real problem which the victims (is that the right word to use?) have close to zero control over. They never got divorced since they were only engaged. But she praised him before for fully taking care of the baby from birth bc she couldn’t function correctly. He chose to move to his home country after she gave away custody so he could raise their daughter w/ his family to help. As a parent, he did the right thing. A true parent always chooses the safety & wellbeing of their child above all else. I applaud him for his choices. Hope she recovers fully one day.

Women, and people really, are pressured into having kids and a family when they are not ready. We have totally idealized it. You reach a certain age and you feel like you have to have a baby because that’s the way. You have it and realize this is not what you wanted but felt pressured to do so because it is systematic. This is why I have completely rejected the idea of marriage and children. The thought of feeling like I need someone to complete me feels like total brainwashing and that regimen is vomit inducing.

An amazing good mother is literally the last thing I'd claim her to be. She said it was the hardest thing she ever had to do was having to sign those papers. But like... nobody even forced her? She WILLINGLY gave up custody. Child protection didn't have to come in and take them. I've been raising my sisters 2 boys since they were both 2 days old and could leave the hospital. I was only like 19 with the first one of hers!! Even I as a aunt/legal guardian would *never* and I mean *ever* sign those babies away .. and I'm not even the birth mom. I'm 32 and don't even have my own kids with my husband of 10 years because I've been busy raising a 13 and 8 year old! Well there are two sides to every story. If she was using substances and drinking it is unlikely she remembers any conversation and the father probably needed an immediate solution to get his child into a healthy environment.

Some things are almost impossible to understand unless you experience it. From what I have seen on the internet and people around me, addiction is a real problem which the victims (is that the right word to use?) have close to zero control over. It takes over a persons body and mind. Nobody should judge people unless if they have been through same or similiar stuff. At least she was able to realise that "my child is not safe with me". The kid is with her father, not a stranger.

They never got divorced since they were only engaged. But she praised him before for fully taking care of the baby from birth bc she couldn’t function correctly. He chose to move to his home country after she gave away custody so he could raise their daughter w/ his family to help. As a parent, he did the right thing. A true parent always chooses the safety & wellbeing of their child above all else. I applaud him for his choices. Hope she recovers fully one day.

Women, and people really, are pressured into having kids and a family when they are not ready. We have totally idealized it. You reach a certain age and you feel like you have to have a baby because that’s the way. You have it and realize this is not what you wanted but felt pressured to do so because it is systematic. This is why I have completely rejected the idea of marriage and children. The thought of feeling like I need someone to complete me feels like total brainwashing and that regimen is vomit inducing.

An amazing good mother is literally the last thing I'd claim her to be. She said it was the hardest thing she ever had to do was having to sign those papers. But like... nobody even forced her? She WILLINGLY gave up custody. Child protection didn't have to come in and take them. I've been raising my sisters 2 boys since they were both 2 days old and could leave the hospital. I was only like 19 with the first one of hers!! Even I as a aunt/legal guardian would *never* and I mean *ever* sign those babies away .. and I'm not even the birth mom. I'm 32 and don't even have my own kids with my husband of 10 years because I've been busy raising a 13 and 8 year old! I know what it's like to be a mother and I could never willingly give my kids away. You'd have to pry them from my arms.. because the second I knew I could lose them I'd be quitting all my selfish crap at once. Period!
