THANK YOU SO MUCH EXO, finally! i've always wondered what the inside of that van looked like
I bet it hertz to be in there ! Lol
It wouldn't just hurt it would kill you
LoL
see me personally dont think that should count and the worlds loudest vehicle. its not a vehicle, its a box with tires, i dont see a seat or dash, or steering wheel. so its no longer a car. the rules are so messed up to me, i think that in order to even have the spl tested it needs to atleast be able to drive and power iteself to the stage, not rolled or placed
+Andrew Storlie well this isn't for you to decide
I did not see a seat or wheel
@@extremebassline7281 yea there's different classes for a reason
thats why there are different classes
They should use this as a bait car, and when a thief tries to steal it, the subwoofers come on full volume.
I can't work out how he's hitting 182dB with just 3 digital designs 18s! I was expecting some sort of concertina wall of sundown SA8 woofers, possibly even isobaric in order to take the pressure. I wonder what would happen if you made your vehicle into a 4th order bandpass with a the vehicle cabin as the front chamber and a sunroof port tuned to the burp frequency.
Tim Lewis
I ran 8 Sundown SA-10s in a 6th order bandpass in a blow through on my truck with 4k rms. It would hold a steady 156db at 36hz all day.... I miss that setup.
I agree that's just a speaker box shouldn't count if you cant drive it
About 20,000 watts a sub. That's crazy.
That's basically death on wheels.
I like that sir.
150 stops a pacemaker or 155
That's DD subs for you 😜
Dam 182 that's deadly I would of like to be there and saw that
I once found a list of db's and how they affect to things. At the 183db mark it said something like "TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF ALL STRUCTURES". The irony in that is how much that vehicle makes sound to outside when they burp it.
I literally had 4, old school Soundstream SPL 15s in a wall in my 86’ Mercury Cougar running two Soundstream Class A 10.0 Amos that hit consistently 158 dbs legal on the dash and 163 dbs with the window cracked on the old school Flashdance CD. That is how we measured true listenable SPL in the late 1990s. USAC for life!
Ok and they still have that, there's different classes dude this is the most extreme class obviously you can't have 175+ without building a concrete speaker box. Also don't believe your system hit 163
I agree with deputy, you weren't hitting no 160
You'd be permanently deaf if you actually listened to normal music at 160+
@@Str8GasGenetics
Old post, but I agree with you. Physics always wins.
"thats just stupid" ... yes .. i agree
Yea was thinking the same thing lol
Testing the limits of what we call science is not stupid at all. I still think sound plays a crucial role in defying gravity.
***** I like that last sentence...
20,000+ watts per sub.... if thats not some crazy shit idk what would compare..
I think I read somewhere that the loudest possible "sound" is at 194 db, after that it is no longer technically sound, but just wind movement. I'd like to see someone hit 190 or better.
"That's just stupid.."
Describes this thing perfectly... I really don't see the point of this, then again I'm not a db/SPL guy.. I just like bump in the trunk.. and in the home.
thanks exo you are the first one I have seen that recorded this setup I always wanted to see how it looks inside.
Hi EXO and all.
I’m trying to
start an SPL sub competition in Juva Finland. Nothing serious just for a bit of
fun. What SPL software do you use for it? Or what would be a good and accurate
one to use. Keep up the good work.
Ps that truck is amazing
Do they ever play music for the World's Loudest Systems, or is it only just 1 wave?
they use to years ago, but to achieve crazy db levels its just a single tuned frequency.
I like the fact that you take your time and bring good video content to your subscribers.. Keep up the good work!!
That's just one of the many show stopper's at SBN in Daytona beach Florida at the ocean center.
well that's one bad ass score. I allways question what hz was that score on.
Holy nipples that shit has to be insane that's not even sound just pure pressure you're lucky to have been there bro, wish I could have been there and kudos to the builders!!
Damn 182.1 that's a crazy number
Man this isn’t even real dbs it’s basically a built speaker box that looks like a Chevy Astro Van.
And here I am thinking sitting in a 160+ car was rough 180 probably could stop a heart
180 would kill you quite easily
170 will stop your heart.
It IS rough lol
180db will turn your internal organs in to liquid so yes it will kill you 180db will vaporize water...
Trace garten Not sure about turning it to liquid but I know for sure it will try and mix everything up in your body violently to the point where your organs will not be able to function normally. Just like when humans go into space, it will change things to the point where major research has do be done to determine the danger.
literally death
When sound becomes pain !
What's he got two 8s and a Pyle amp
An L7 in a T-Line
I'm now building a van with 128 air raid sirens inside hoping it'll hit 220dB.
Rolling lol
It is much easier to hit high db with higher tones. You may succeed
220dB is as loud, as an atomic bomb.
I think your brain turns to jelly at a certain rating.
Actually it doesn't. The highest Trio mark it's about 170db @ 2173HZ. And the Guy uses 64, 2 inch compression drivers with 2 30kW 12volt amplifiers. His name is Pardal.. Search it
I think these builds kill the fun in competing. The vehicle just looks stupid as well as the inside looks like some hand me down subs. Let be realistic when we compete. Next we will have an 18 wheeler with a trailer rockin 300 sundown x 12's doing 1000db. Takes the fun out of it if you ask me.
BEAST MODE
Maaan, you should bust out a longer video on this madness
I dare you to put your camera in that van.
Exo didn't some one in the UK hit a 201+ a few years earlier? I remember a small old school Square body vw with like 16 8's doing something like what I mentioned.
no, no one has ever been over 186 in a car or anything resembling a car.
Hell yeah. Awesome.
A car stereo that cant play music is just a waste of space and money.
That sounded like music to me
Why cant it play music?
@@Digital__rb it can play music , but for messure the spl needs a burb signal at music it is no so loud but loud enouth anymore... i only have 150db but for music not for spl
Ok boomer.
This system is probably a 1 note wonder. I think the entire cabin is designed to resonate at the burp frequency of 60Hz, with the woofers in small sealed rear chambers to help balance the pressure on the cones, and reactance annulling.
Still amazing what it achieves with so little. I was a bit skeptical as 182dB is 1/4 of an atmosphere of pressure. What speaker cone could handle that?
Tim Lewis
carbon fiber :)
also, yes these are one note wonders. someone several years back realized that it was easier to turn the cabin of the vehicle into the "box" vs building a box. they noticed that it was louder inside the box itself (technically, the port). this led to large gains in db
one quarter of an atmosphere is 3.67 pounds per square inch I'd be willing to bet my alphasonik Mayhem 900 series could handle that seeing as how it had a carbon fiber cone
At 200db it can rip your muscle tissue to shreds and dismember all your skeletal joints apart. Js
People, to those who say "a car that cant play music blablablabla"
Do you not understand that cars like these CAN play music???
It is physically capable of music... will it sound good? That is subjective. Will it be a flat responce? probally not.
Does he have mids/highs? i am going to guess no... does it matter? no! it can still play music...
Can it play music as well? Just curious.
Is this record still not broken by anyone even in 2020? So DD is officially Daddy of all subwoofers in the world?
man that thing is so powerful it can turn your internal organs into jelly in just a few seconds
freaking insane!
i wish i had a system like that
Remember when it was a big deal to hit 150 lol
I'm hating bc they didn't play "late nite tip" by three6mafia lol....
I am curious what schooling craig butler has. This is engineering genius
those amps tho 😍
Nice
if you have birds or rats in your car this the way to go
TH-cam, can you make it so we can like a video more than once!!!!!
What speakers?
Did u see his University of Georgia chair??? GO BULLDOGS!!!!
WR
so this hit 182DB using 4X18's on 80kw and in south africa a man hit 180.3 with a single 18 on 18 000watts what would 4 of those 18's on 40 000watts do?
It's not about the speakers or the power at this level you could put 2 Sony xplod 12s on 500 watts and pull 165+ in this van
Did it beat Scott Owens beast
The simple fact that he did it with 4 subs and 8 amps totaling roughly 80kwatts is awesome when Scott Did it with 3 times the speakers, 7times the amps, and twice the power. I saw another video where he broke the world record at 182.4db, so I'd say yes.
"At this event, Scott’s 2002 F-250 hit 180.3 dB to capture the first place trophy and set a new world record. Scott’s vehicle competes with 13 TS-W5102SPL subwoofers powered by 52 PRS-D5000SPL amplifiers, 128 16-volt Kinetic batteries and three Ohio Generator 285-amp alternators producing more than 157,000 watts of power. "
if he can build that thing then what about the battery of that van...?
So those were the main subs at 1:11 DJ Inclined ?
Yep, 4 DD Z 18's.
Huh :p, and nice footage
Thank ya sir, check out my channel for more. :)
Heck yea ^_^
You guys know that when it reaches 185 db which is known as Death Level sound, it kills you. Right?
I wonder what's it like inside there when it's 182 db
I really think it would cause some serious internal/brain damage and maybe even death lol
uncomfortable
Extreme pain for the moments you survive
audioholic850 Not only discomfort, major injury.
"one of the loudest spl builds ive seen", WHAT? This is THE loudest build though. Where do you live cause i want to see their builds then!
Been beaten 183dB
+Deon van der Merwe proof?
but it goes such a distance to play for 3 seconds at a time. I wanna hear 180 db with some music
I don't think that it would be possible. He would've been running the subs to the max to get 182.
I didn't mean him literally doing that. I meant in general that would be dope
at what hz is that ?
the original 180 limelight for those who dont know
What frequency was that at tho?
probably around 70hz
Obviously loud but at what frequency?!
Human ear drums shatter at 173db. You can't sit in that van without ear protection unless you want to go deaf.
I wonder if it sounds loud inside
It probably sounds a lot like dying.
Looks like an armored car car :p
How many watts?
BOUT 80k
185 db can collapse your lungs 😂😂
Damn!!
EXO go inside of it next time
Nobody would ever allow that just so you know. Besides, are you fucking trying to kill EXO???
Hless421 fuuuuck that. I've heard you can die at around 200db.
Taylor Morrison 200db is the absolute limit of sound pressure. Of course it will kill you.
ya that much amperage isn't dangerous
I paid $5,000 to hit 172.8
What does 4th order mean?
a 4th order is a sealed box inside a bandpass. you basically get nice tight subwoofer control and the louder boom of a ported box. look at my video. I'm in my brothers caddy with a 4th order box. it has a plexiglass window so you can see the inside of the box and I show a nice close up of the port. he has one controlto 12 in it.
What's the point of that?
Cycles per second?
probably the holy grail of frequencies. 60 hz
Someone put wheels a giant subwoofer and tried to pass it off as a van.
That thing has been rode hard n put away wet way to many times...damn...if that was some chick your takin home from the bar(what you'd call a "slump buster",you definetly sneak her out the back door?
thats gonna kill somebody
I'm seriously not just talking junk but he I think he said it's one of the loudest we Will
Here but it's actually the loudest we were here as its The top world record just an observation I'm sure I'll be told to shut it soon
Shit on wheels.
But you can't drive it what's the point:(
can u sit in the car while playing that loud?
+Mercedes Too loud for human bodies.
I agree that shouldn't count if you can't drive it basically it's a speaker box
Not rely a vehicle moor a tank
My buddy does a 180 with 2 15’s
180 watts?
that ain't shit.. my 2 boss audio 10s get 185db.. lsfhhhh.. i hope u guys know that's a joke
you meant 1.85 db
You meant THE loudest, not ONE of the loudest lol how the hell is he going to get to 183??????
at 170 dB's will shatter your ear drums make them bleed. I thought Mick Jones a white man had the record 2 DD 18" at 182 dB's
To each is there own but this burp or 1 note db reading is like watching cartoon porn. What's the point? What happened to the good old day when you actually played music to obtain db reading like Tommy McKiney (King of Bass) use to do?
Im dead
Im deaf with a hearing aid and I wanna try it :D
would still kill you, chest vibration would be high af
If you can't start the vehicle and drive it away legally on the street, it's stupid,
Imnotsaidaouita Its not meant to be practical. Its like a race car. You cant drive a race car on the road either because it is only meant for 1 purpose. This is only mean for sound. Nothing else
I was very underwhelmed with this. Like, "burppp", hmm ok that was it? Lol
that was a burp!! imagine a fart... hahaha
@@CajunReaper95 no because most race engines could never hope to pass emissions and obtain a tag to legally drive
Its no run at this point
That was a bit underwhelming. lol What was that a C#? Just sounded like a big fart. lol
It's really not even a vehicle it's a tank
Whats the word I’m lookin for...oh ya....anticlimactic!
i cant wait till i win the lottery, i can guarantee i will have the loudest system on this planet (if i win that is)
look at the russians though
