An interesting comparison, thanks. The best video I have seen shot with the X4, in terms of showing its overall picture quality, was uploaded today (not by me!) and shows about 18 mins of walking around Venice. The scenes are packed with colour and detail and include walking through shady passageways as well as full sun scenes. If anyone is on the X4 fence despite your excellent and informative videos about it, go find that video and be ready to fall off the fence!
It just depends if you need or want 360 - if you don’t then it’s Ace Pro. I’ve never been a fan of the modular design of the RS, I don’t like all the parts to build it and then reassemble it with a different lens mod. It’s a versatile system but I prefer a solid one piece camera.

It has pros and cons - it’s ideal because you can see everything that’s going on and zoom in on any part of the match. The cons are that it is super wide, much wider than you think so a lot of the gameplay may look too far away so you will want to zoom in to follow the ball or get close ups of the action. This takes time and you’ll lose image quality. You will be recording a lot of footage which will take hours to reframe and export. If you can get someone else to edit and export then great otherwise expect to spend a long time editing. Hope this helps.
I’ve got a Go2 and it’s not an action camera by any means. Perhaps great for vlogging and unique angles, but doesn’t do the greatest for more aggressive usage with longer run times. Battery is too small. Tends to overheat. It’s GREAT camera. Just not for what I need.

I want to buy the ace. Similar to a GoPro. The GoPro are durable. I have GoPro 7 black. I abused it, fell, got water inside even salt water and yet still works. If I buy the ace. Can it resist all of that? GoPro in my experience is the most durable action cam in the market. Dj has more stability? Insta has good resolution?

On a 512gb card you can shoot 5 hours in 8k so it depends on how much you usually shoot and for how long. For me I prefer to use shorter cards as I feel this safeguards the footage. If you lose one card or it gets corrupted you’ve lost a lot of video all at once. If you use multiple smaller cards I think it’s a better way to manage your content and keep it safe. 256 I think is a good compromise with 8k and for a vacation I wouldn’t delete the card until you get home and back it up. So take several cards with you, don’t just rely on downloading it to your phone. Hope this helps.
I have a Go 3 (and Go 2 before it died), and I use it mostly as a hands free cam attached to my chest with the necklace medallion for candid shots. I never use it as a regular camera or whilst holding it while in the Action Pod. I also use a Pixel 6a for stills, or Fimi Palm 2 Pro for video. I wish the Pocket 3 wasn’t so big, or else I would also use that.
I just upgraded from the x3 to x4 and it's a worthwhile upgrade for me. Speed of start up is much improved and image quality is a large step up. Only things to note are the bigger video file sizes created by 8k recording, which impacts transfer times, and the massively increased render times and upload times if you're now outputting at 4k instead of 1080p (which is viable with the better quality images)... I've started planning my days so the rendering can be done while I'm doing something else (I'm doing everything on my phone).
If you're fishing, just get 360 X4. Why? With 360 X4, you can always re-frame at any angle with yourself catching fish and never missed the shot of Fish On! again.😅
The X4 is truly horrible...while watching this video look at the sides of the picture to see how bad this camera really is... and once you export from 360 studio the noise is AWFUL and the edit facility defaults to 30fps?!

I think I can see a quick clip of it but wanted ot check you could still remove it like on the X4?
You can use any selfie stick but because the go3 isn’t a 360 camera the selfie stick isn’t invisible

Where does the One RS come in scale of these cameras?
For me go3 is the best action cam among all actions cams released till today. Versatility for these type of cams always win video quality.
