I own a Eurasier, best dog ever. only note: the dog does bark, and is a real good watchdog, he hears everything that happens around the house. when the paperguy comes by 5 in the morning he's barking. furthermore this dog can also guard. we need to introduce strangers in our home, if a first time visitor behaves in a way that he does not think its accepted, he will bark and bite. So lack of any agression? yes with the family and all members. He's is very territorial and he will protect his home an family. I have been told that since it is a pretty new breed these things differ between them; and some have still a throwback towards one off the breeds that were used to create the Eurasier. Mine has a chowred colour, mostly blue rongue and wel strong chowchow trades.
So not the most easy dog, but so loving, so loyal and really the best friend of everybody in the family.

Are they trainable as service dogs?

"YER-uh-SEE-ur"? Nope, it's pronounced "yer-AA-zhur", which plays on the fact this breed is of EURopean and ASIan descent.

@@User-Seven-Teen Well actually you're entirely wrong. It is not a 'German' word, it's simply a portanteau - as the above commenter correctly pointed out.
