Absolutely gutted to hearing the sad news of MC Fats passing. Infact it's taken a few days for it to sink in. I knew this fella way back in the 80's when we lived in the same tower block in Stratford. He influenced me in music, back then he was in "Crucial Rockers Sound System". We would tump music together, I'd go listen to his sound often playing in Bow above the laundrette, memories. So many memories, wish I'd a caught up with you before it was too late. Hearing of Mc Fats' death was a wounder! What broke my heart the most wasn't the legacy he left behind and fact he has been the voice of drum and bass since I was a child. It was the tweet I read by his nephew "we always knew him as uncle will with cherryade in the fridge". My great grandma also always had cherryade in the fridge, and she passed in 2012. I still miss her so much, really did bring a tear to my eye.

Mc fats uma das voses mais potentes do drum and bass se foi eu ando em sp nos busão ouvindo várias dele e refletindo sobre várias coisas do cotidiano e da vida ele aos 4 cantos da cidade onde eu passava com a voz dele sempre me refletiu a paz e o amor ... eu não manjo de inglês... mas eu sentia a vibe dele a onde eu estava a música é assim né... Ele tinha diabetes é uma cirurgia cardíaca nos dois últimos anos…sabemos que a devastador o poder dessa doença! Meu pai tem os dois pés amputados por isso.
