My friend and I got front row rush tickets, and we were laughing SO HARD. Darren came to the front of the stage, and looked us both in the eye while he was singing! I would say that it might not have been us, but come on...we were in the front row. Kinda hard to miss (He was probably thinking "Stop laughing, I'm trying to sing") We were dying!!! The boy band choreography was hilarious!
brb crying forever. i nearly died during this number, it was one of the funniest things i've seen in a while. i am so fond of boy bands but i was not expecting this at all, LOVED IT.
I saw the last performance on the 16th for my Birthday which was probably one of the pest presents ever!!!! And at the end of this song, he stood at the edge of the stage and said "Kisses to all of you Tampa Bay!" and the audience went crazy! It was so funny.
@davyoconnor I agree but still remember this show is still in the developmental phase. Things may change greatly between now and when it debuts on Broadway.
@SgtSplatter782 Oh A LOT of things have changed. The plot is twisted around kind of, the ending they changed, they cut some songs and replaced them. They have 2 new cast members, the Tampa budget this year was $11,000,000 so they drastic changes. But it still conflicted wth the old plot so they need to change some things to make it succesful.
@davyoconnor I saw it on the 16th, her name is Janet Dacal, she was AMAZING! The hatter was pretty good, her voice is like soo high pitched including her solo. The ending was better than when it first came back in 2009, this time it actually made me cry.
Agreed! Frank has done some AMAZING things. I just hope it doesn't turn into a pop fest. I'm going to need to hear some classic Frank Ballades with the soaring strings I love.
@Caro91WH - I can't believe this show got cancelled. Saw the preview on Broadway with my girlfriend. Best part of the play. We did the steps in the balcony.
This would be cute; unfortunately, for being a multi-million dollar musical by a veteran composer, I'm unimpressed. It's all very surface-sounding...the lyrics/rhyme are so simplistic. I feel like these were written in 15 minutes. There's no complexity. The singer is lovely, I suppose. The few songs I've heard don't entice me to seek out the rest, however.

I LOVED the show!!! This performance was the best, so funny with the knight and the 4 guys!

Just saw the show on saturday. Was kind of up and down... got bored during the Alice parts but loved Darren's songs lol.

I laughed all through this song. But the lady on the right smelled like alcohol. Ew. She ruined it. But I still had a good time!
