I really loved your analysis and I agree with almost all of them except two😊. I lived in Berlin for 4 years as a master student until I moved to Saskatoon this June.
    1. For quality of life(health and groceries) I had very good experience with German health perhaps because I was on public insurance and also bcos Berlin is quite big so wait times are not that much. Coming to groceries, at first I thought canada is high but when you do the conversion, you would see that it's cheaper or same price ( I experimented that with similar products).
    2. Culture- I guess that's influenced by where we lived in Germany. For me, Berliners were so much friendly though most times, you have to reach out first. But I had friends in smaller cities like Bremen, magderburg, etc and they have the same experience like you maybe bcos those cities are small.
Lastly, taxes are much better in Germany compared to Canada.
All in all, I miss Germany especially the transportation system but I also love the life here in Canada😊.

    Hello,
3000 CAD from Vancover to Charlotte Town is pricey.
I think it was because you booked one ticket with the transit stops included. Breaking the ticket into 2 or 3 separate payments will be alot cheaper.
I made this mistake too when I first came to Canada.
If you would have flown first to toronto on one ticket and from Toronto to Vancouver on a separate booked ticket, you would have paid like 1300 or less.
It will always be cheaper to fly from big city to big city. Once you are in your preferred big city, finding your way to a small town like Charlotte Town will be cheaper too.
I also used this method to fly to Africa. I first book a ticket to Europe, then book a separate ticket from Europe to Africa. Saves me alot.

      Hi Anthony ,
I tried booking from Vancouver to Toronto and Toronto to Charlottetown.
      It was more expensive.
I will check again when I am booking a flight .
      Thanks for the tip .

I lived in Germany from 2013 till 2017 as a doctoral student, and I've been back there on visits a few times since then. I arrived in Toronto in 2019 and have been living and working here. This is what I tell folks who demand comparison: what Germany has, Canada hasn't; what Canada has, Germany hasn't!!!

    Good morning from here Ma
Germany is no longer the way it used to 30 years ago most especially the health care system, that aspect of shortages of healthcare workers is also similar here we only had only one Doctor and one assistant doctor in our hospital on 31.12.2024 too 😅 Sad reality

      @StephanieEmordi  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thanks for watching my video
I’m not a sickler, but the focus of this video talks about the differences in both nation as well as importance of healthcare for everyone, regardless of their personal health situation or where they live .
People deserve good healthcare and I have seen a lady loose her pregnancy because there was no doctor to attend to her so if you don’t see the importance of a good health care I do !!

Please don’t rate a countries life quality solely based on healthcare. That doesn’t make sense, there are much more important stuff to consider.
Also, our ancestors didn’t need „Germania doctors“ for gestation and parturition periods 🎉 and they gave birth to more sensible babies.

Why does it seem to be the healthcare that worries you ?
