  • Psalm 59 refers to the incident in 1 Samuel 19:11-12, when the murderous intent of King Saul against David was openly revealed, and David began his long season of living as a fugitive.
Knowing the danger, David looked to God for rescue and defense.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, ever, no matter what people think. We shall not forsake the assembly.

What a sound exposition of Psalms 59. I love how Guzik is faithful to his calling and to the word of God. Most importantly, I love how at the end he outlines a few ways for us how Psalms 59 points to Jesus. As great as David is, we aren’t saved by David, we’re saved by Jesus. Solid.

But, despite circumstances, I will, now, today, I decide to, I choose to, I determine to, sing praises to God, my God, Yahweh, merciful, full of lovingkindness, my strength. I will, in your strength, Lord God, praise you and continue to, even surrounded by the enemy. Thank David for reminding us, encouraging us and I pray for you, that you too are also encouraged and strengthened.

Amen! Laziness is Not the way to be. Serving means diligently seeking Him everyday and not ceasing in prayer as a Warrior fighting the good fight. Jew read the Bible Thee Times a day. May we be found as Believers deep into God’s word talking to our Father serving by interceding for every need.
