I first heard of this game in a video about games with dying worlds. Something about giant environments that look manmade but are empty is a very cool atmosphere. I thought this game looked pretty interesting from that video, and seeing a secret thing like this makes me want to try it out more. Having giant megastructures that you can explore and maybe find cool little secrets out of the way is interesting. That video turned me on to a game called NaissanceE that is free on Steam and is kinda similar to this with you exploring a gigantic megastructure, but is more of a straightforward walking sim with light platforming. Just has an incredible atmosphere.
This feels like one of those pre-2010s TH-cam videos. Well, minus the following: -Unregistered Hypercam 2 watermark -any song by 009 Sound System -big font text slowly typed out in Notepad on a cluttered Windows XP desktop
Yes, the basecamp IS accessable with standard tool you have in the first chapter. Was very surprised to see that camp while climbing around too, definitely felt like a reward for exploration. But it takes more than 10 minutes to get there and you can't make a single mistake, which is bad :-)
just tested this myself and the computer terminal there counts for the total scans of the level, so this is probably intentionally placed and wasn't left over
just finished it tonight and seen your twitter post. ended up finding it myself too. makes me wonder what other gems are hidden. Wew! that ending. . . . . there. that should make it so observers have to click read more to see. felt like a rogue AI or someone uploaded their personality and went bad/mad with it all with their grand plan being to take our body from us. but the way the music and level started to distort as we got through it gave me the vibe that whatever this entity was. ITS own time was running out. we had its own biological hazards to avoid, but i suspect the growing darkness is a system shutdown. its burning up the last of its power in a desperate attempt to take control of the players mobile body. i can't wait to see and hear what people make of it. the reason why i see the ending like that is a story of a character of my own who does the reverse. desperates escapes a failing network as the lights start fading and the darkness grows.
man i found some weird monster looking thing in the city where the dying people are drinking the black water and it has the fountains, i was so thinking it would be the final boss then it never came back. it looked real freaky, was all red and inside a cage of some kind
@p_clove yeah i still don't know if it is even a playable part of the game or anything. I tried going there on the new game plus mode n stuff and it's just still there doin nothing. Would be super keen to be told how to unlock it or something. Surely it's a secret boss or something right ? I jus wanna know haha
Had a difficult time getting into this game despite wanting to explore the world. Felt like early game had too punishing of jumps and maneuvering (despite that being the idea), and a lack of a clear path of advancement to the next area/objective. Wanted to just move on and get more elements of the narrative, but this sort of level design became unapproachable.
😒 i agree, your not the only one feeling this way, its priced very fairly but whats the point if your a casualer and you bought it more for the story? Its got 8 chapters and Im stuck on Chapter 2 with 7 hours on the clock. How is this fair? Give me Manual Saves and Give me a cheat console so I can fly over these impossible platform segments like you can already do in Naissance. FIX IT! 😠
@@MrSamadolfoI’m a super casual gamer and beat all the chapters in an hour and a half or less. I had to fully restart the waste tunnels because I got lost but it’s a challenge for a reason
@@sonarwav 😏 oh really very cool Bro and congrats, you must be a Natural, i watched several walkthroughs and they do help alot but im still having a really hard time, im taking a break from it, I finally got the Super Mario Flower from Chapter 2, last checkpoint was working my way up that tower with all those pipes u gotta jump too. I sent a message to the Developer letting him know that I love the game but if he could please add some additional options that i would like to make it more accessible to people that suck like me😅
try and abuse the shift boost a lot, and tapping walls with the picks to save urself. it is a hard game. but i wouldnt like it if it was easier personally. so you have both sides of the coin with us both haha.
I tried going out of bounds in Ch2 Failed Biome. Not much success, a lot of empty spaces and I had to drop for like 10 seconds before hooking to remove fall damage. Not much there. I tried the route behind the exit and the two pipe things that are dangling from the main pillar. There are invisible killing spots mid air so you cant grapple last second and walk the floor.
Kudos to you and thank you for showing us all this. Imo its a pissoff the dev or devs dont put in the time to incorporate more checkpoints for off-grid exploring. If I died after like 10-20m and had to restart I'd rage and uninstall.
😒 yes its BS, dude should have added Autosave PLUS unlimited Manual Saves with a nice long list with date and spot, so i can manually save exactly where im standing, this shouldnt be so hard to implement, i always hate these developers taking away Accessibility Options to casualers, i already got 7 hours in and im still only on Chapter 2, this is BS
There are checkpoints when you explore off-grid. But the game doesnt register them when you go off-grid at the location in the video. If you go off-grid at the start of the level the game normally creates off grid checkpoints perfectly fine. It even creates checkpoints when you climb walls, meaning you can climb up, run out of stamina, press t to respawn in the same spot with full stamina. I guess is when you enter basecamp from the direction in the video, the game never allows new checkpoints to be created until you progress more. Probably a failsafe for the actual gameplay in the level
its excellent but it needs additional Accessibilty Options: Unlimited Manual Saves and a Cheat Code to Fly Across that you can turn on and off. Also go checkout Naissance and Recompile, very similar setup and atmosphere. Naissance already has a cheat console so you can fly over the stupid hard segments and finish the cool story.
😒 guys, also pickup Naissance and Recompile, both are similar to Lorn's Lure with the same idea of failing over and over again, if you like frustration you will have boat loads of it. Fortunately Naissance does have a Cheat Console so u can fly across the really stupid hard segments and continue on with the story. Lorn's Lure badly needs it as well. Someone go tell the developer to add it.
😒 im working on Chapter 2, i finally was able to get down and pickup that stupid flower, i hate this game 😠 i want a Cheat so that I can fly over those really hard platform segments, plus give me a quick save option so I can save wherever im actually jumping off from, cause this game is bs without it 😒
If you could fly, you would never play the game properly again. You'd get stuck in one section, decide to fly "but only on this one section, then no more". Progress a bit more, get stuck and go "ill fly over this part, its hard". At that point, there'd be little reason to simply not fly through the whole game. The game took me a while to beat, I'm very casual with games and im not very good at them. There were many sections I got stuck on for a while, but taking things slow and steady helped a lot. Good luck!
I wonder how many things are hidden off in hard to access areas of each level. Some of these levels like The Wall and a-like are positively massive
there was two hidden hut in the last demo that i was playing.

also after going into the second level, I noticed the explorer team listed is the same one the robot and the lady with the fungal infection is from
Those movement mechanics got me interested in the game. First time hearing of it

Awesome find! I spent a decent amount of time exploring around the first level in NG+ as well, but didnt find anything this interesting
I definitely wonder if you'd find secret areas in the Waste Tunnels with the NG+ gear. Thanks for the vid!
A hack to turn off the fog and fly around would be cool

Do you know what the lights are off in the distance that are in like semi circle in failed biome ? I have been trying to get there
Edit isn't a placeholder name. :(
It got changed ingame to EditDotExe!!
do more of these, this is super interesting

Hi, could you tell me how did you unlock all the abilities for beginning levels?
you need to finish game , then just start any lvl and at start point there is equipment
Pheriphery fan?
how to get the grapple hooks in level 1?
When you start a new run of chapter 1 after completing the game there should be a NG+ pickup at the start. It'll give you all skills/abilities.
Is it a good game?
If you like the idea of clambering around vast, mysterious, atmospheric environments while crapping your pants over dicey jumps. Yea.
its meanly for people who like roblox obbys x 100 with vertigo
Not really. The first few levels were fun, but by the end, the game completely loses its identity and becomes a roblox obby/csgo surf map.
