My husband Richard has a TBI/Post Concussion Syndrome from a motorcycle accident.
He has memory loss and anger issues, can't blame him for being angry. He was a phenomenal woodworker and now he's unable to remember how to do it. He is wanting this to end !!
The meds just make him a zombie, unable to function properly. He has stopped all meds now.
He recently had a friend bring over 2.5 grams of psybicilin mushrooms and I HAD MY HUSBAND BACK FOR A DAY ! HE WAS SMILING AND HAPPY!
He just wants to be himself again.
I am willing to do anything to help my husband from ending his life.
    Richard, I love you.
    I will never leave you.
I will never forget that you are injured.
Richard, at one point in life you were a WARRIOR when you were in the Army.
    Richard, I have your back
    I love you so much,
    Your wife Ann Marie

      Hi
I had a motorcycle accident too, back in 1995 in the Swedish army. i had my memory examined back in 2007 but even then no one told me about TBI. I have a lot of boring news but the good news for your husband is that the brain heals and that the anger can be controlled in that process as he can learn to find tools and practically train his brain. The way I understood my brain had been healed to some degree, still without knowing about "tbi" as a research field (I understood by myself) was that after about 5 years of never drinking hard liquor after I had realized I had been over sensitive to it, I had a taste one time and I realized it was still there to a small extent but further down the line I realized I could drink hard liquor without blacking out. So even if he experiences a lot of negative thoughts, he will heal and he will heal a lot faster if he considers all the latest research and observations from this channel and also Andrew Huberman. I just wish I knew earlier but I have hopefully 40 years more to go so it´s too early to give in. I have kids too. I had suicidal thoughts less than a months ago, after 31 years, before I got to understand fully (about tbi). I kinda knew this since just a few years after having met another guy who had also crashed on a motorbike in the army, but "experts" have been telling me all along nothing could be observed so it has not been easy, kinda knowing but being told I+m just making things up basically.

Psilocybin changed my life.. down after concussions ended my football career in college before it got going and not being able to live regularly.. all the side effects of anger, depression, anxiety.. I was turned on to psilocybin by doing research and started microdosing… thank you so much for bringing the research to light.

Very interesting ideas-. I self medicated a lot in the techno community and it´s interesting how exactly the drugs mentioned here has been noticed by me as my drugs of preference. Even more interesting is how the best psilocybin I ever had (used it 5 times or so in 30 years) has been from the freely available species growing where I live in Sweden. And for me the techno culture has been very soothing too. To be with others that you know also has things to deal with and let go for hours is something humankind has done since our beginning. Hey thank you for bringing up how you had a lot of dark thoughts. I have experiences that a lot too very recently but also realizing even more recently about tbi research, so now I reckon things will change more long term.

Ketamine can be quite different. I answered someone once there are two types and later I was ridiculed because there are four types. When always ask what type it is and if the seller don´t know, at least don´t pay full price. The most intense is more then 100% more potent. There is Ketamine that is intense like weak cocaine or amphetamine but then you come across some very pure "S" type ket and you take the same amount, and you might be dealing with something that when you come out of having been unable to move, seeing clearly and barely speaking or forming sentences, leaves you too confused for it to be nice, and that can actually be frightening to the point that people pass on the stuff to others. I´ve seen a bag that people gave away four times because it was so potent, so get as much info as possible before and start slowly with a batch you're unfamiliar with.

Firstly, thank you for your channel, Dr. Marshall. I am 4.5 mos. post concussion & suffering. About a month ago, I found your videos & learned so much! You gave me hope, courage & information. I found a Chiropractor who specializes in concussion treatment & it has helped immensely in just 2 weeks.
Secondly, I have been microdosing Psilocybin for about a year in an effort to treat my CPTSD. For Canadians reading this, there are many reputable sources online, as Canada tolerates the sale & use of Psilocybin but, trafficking is definitely illegal. There are also sources to help you grow your own.
I'm not so sure what Psilocybin has done for my mental health...I don't think it's worse. I have not had the opportunity to take large doses as I do not have a support system in place.
Lastly, I have had Fibromyalgia for about 35 yrs. & after a few months microdosing Psilocybin, my symptoms have disappeared, as long as I continue to microdose.
Thank you, Dr. Marshall, for your channel & especially this episode highlighting concussions & Psilocybin. Daniel is an excellent speaker & educator on the subject. We must take responsibility for our own health, mental & physical. We need to educate ourselves. Big Pharma often does not have our best interests at heart & neither does mainstream media.
