Tall Trees Reserve

We've protected a new reserve! Tall Trees is a site that buffers Mt Field National Park and boosts connectivity in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. This reserve supports an area of old-growth giant ash (Eucalyptus regnans) forest, with some trees towering over 70 metres. The reserve provides habitat for the endangered Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle (Aquila audax fleayi), Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii), and spotted tailed quoll (Dasyurus maculatus).
