Nah Epik High aint underrated and they aint underground hiphop in korea, they are super big in Korea and have been around for a long time. They are just less well-known internationally because they aren't exactly Kpop, but K-hiphop. :)

No they debuted under woollim ent. And was with them for I think 6 or 7 years. But after the drama with tablo the company did a shit job of helping them so they left and YG picked them up. And they made a much needed comeback under that label. They've been around for a while

In my opinion with Korean hip-hop it is really beneficial to understand the lyrics.... for foreign fans we can mostly grasp the flow, beat, rhythm, and style but we lack on hearing or catching the hooks, creative word play, and punchlines; in which makes it more difficult to create an informed opinion on Korean Hip-hop. I think you guys would have better enjoyed this video if you understood the message in the lyrics and by understanding the lyrics, you more than likely would have understand the concept of the MV. I encourage (if you guys have not done this) to either: 1) find videos that include English subs or 2) locate the translated English lyrics online. Despite me having a minimal understanding of Korean Hip-hop I continue to enjoy it and I hope you guys do as well :) You guys keep doing your thing!! :)

As for the roaches, I think they are supposed to represent the haters. The first rapper, Tablo, was the victim of a group who thought he was lying about his academic credentials (he got a bachelors and masters in less than 4 years from Stanford) and it got so bad that he was getting death threats. His family was constantly getting harassed, his label refused to help him, and he went through severe depression. Eventually the police had to step in and confirmed his credentials but even now some people don't believe him. Luckily during those difficult times he was signed by his current label and he continued to make music
You should check out "Map the Soul" by Epik High! They have both a worldwide (English) version, and a Korean one. I would listen to the Korean one though because only one member speaks English, so the worldwide version only features the english speaking member (tablo), and their dj (dj tukutz), but replaces the non-english speaking member (mithra jin) with myk and kero one.
