First they take Serco’s cash and move the migrants into their hotels, then when they eventually move on, the hotel gets a full refurbishment courtesy of you and I. What seemed to happen in our area(West Berkshire) was that illegals were moved out from hotels into council accommodation, given leave to remain and they can now bring their families over.
An absolutely beautiful place Liam and even more so now the illegals have gone however, God help the area they've been moved to. Anyone whos looking for a break in that wonderful area, please give this traitorous hotel a miss.

I lived in folkstone in 1980, fine times they were, fishing all summer long at Radnor Park Pond, getting welks and cockles at the harbour whilst watching all the ships come in with their catch, eating hand rolled Rock from the Rock shop on the way home after fun at the Rotunda. i went back to folkstone for a visit a few years ago, there was very little i recognised, sad indeed.
You've probably looked Liam but this type of work would surely require planning permission? Failing that, maybe a FOI to the council to ask who is carrying out the work?

Went there years ago left and got a refund within 5 minutes. The place was a shit hole with exposed wiring, fire doors held open with fire extinguishers mould in the bathroom sheets hadn’t been changed, stairs were in a dangerous condition, I could go on and on. And oh yes the person on the main desk could barely speak a word of English.
I popped in that hotel today and I mentioned this was a hotel for other use and the guy on reception denied that it was He came clean in the end It still has the same owner who is French he said… ummm
As I understood it, when the illegals have left the hotel the government guaranteed a full refurbishment at tax payers expense. From what I can gather the refurbishment was necessary as the guests had very little respect for the building. It was just a means to an end before they get allocated a house.
