Another fine batrep gentlemen! It's great that you brought in a decent light source and tightened up the editing. The running victory points graphic and in-window commentary are nice touches too. Videos like these will greatly benefit and expand the KoW community.
Fantastic battle report guys, the layout with discussion between turns and the time-lapse to show the actual movement, brilliant! Very nice battlefield and awesome paintjob on the models. :)
Well. I was right to look forward to it. Really great report and the larger army sizes added an ebb and flow to the game which suited the way you guy banter :-) Thanks for your continuing efforts!
Fantastic bat rep! Local store just started having a Kings of War Sunday game day! Every Sunday! I really am crazy about this game now! Thank you guys for doing this. I might never had tried it without these reports.
great battle, very high quality! THX a lot :-) You two are doing some of the best battle reports I've seen in years - and you got me into thinking, that my WHFB dwarfs may find a new battleground (I#ve been disappointed since 8th edition allready). KoW looks like a real strategy game to me and you show the spirit such games require and deserve. thx
Awesome report as usual! The new units for the nightstalkers are coming along nicely, I'm sure they will look terrific when they're finished :) Piercing (3) sounds horrifing, but I'm sure, there is something out there to counter such units, maybe cavalery? Those snake-eyes can be a real moral breaker, that's for sure, but despite all the lopsided things in the first turns, the recovery was phenomenal in my opinion! Keep having fun and the reports rolling guys, I'm so looking forward to the next. Maybe ogres vs a undead horde army with lots and lots of bodies? That would surely looking interesting :)
Haha great bat rep. As a herd player, you must avenge us... next bat rep revenge of the herd?? Seriously though, thanks for the great content. Best KoW bat reps out there by far!
You guys are great at making these battle reports. You can tell a lot of effort goes into making these and I for one appreciate it. Are you getting a group together to do a campaign? That would be cool to see.
Great battle report, stumbled across it by accident and will subscribe. Really good, just one thing though........don't drink Guinness out of a bottle, drink it out of a glass and let it settle, it will taste much better! Other than that, excellent 😃
GREAT BAT REP!!!!!!! My empire of dust is going to have its hands full with either of these armies! Is friday a good day for our game? Take care guys:)!!!
Unfortunately no. Only had time off in our schedules this year for one major event and we picked Adepticon. We want to help show off what KoW has to offer in as many ways as possible but we have a lot going on in our lives too.
I see no reason the Bloodworms cannot counter charge in turn 6. It's a reform, not 2 pivots."It is perfectly fine to slide the unit to fit against the front of the enemy, as long as the final position does not overlap any other unit." And tourny's seem to be going 2500, plus 55min timeclock. It really is a different game that high. 1500 and below becomes almost a skirmish games in comparison.
It was a mistake on my part. Misread the rules that states you could move through but not end on top of. Assumed if I intersected I couldn't do it. Appreciate the effort to point it out. That'll help in the future.
Great report as always guys, I just had a couple of questions. Why couldn't the Blood Worms counter charge the Avatar later on in the game, you said something about they couldn't turn? I though you could always counter charge. Where is the Terror model from? I'm (trying) to use all Tyranids for my Night Stalkers but I love that model! On a related note, how do find the massive base works out for that guy? I've generally found oversize bases are really annoying as you have to watch flanks a lot more carefully.
+George Kirke The Blood Worms SHOULD have been able to countercharge. I misread the rules and assumed that because of the size of their base when they pivoted they would have to intersect the Avatar...but truthfully, rules say it was okay. The Terror is a Kraken from Reaper Miniatures. On the large base it is very unweildy, BUT its speed and because I generally deploy it along with my other slower moving units keep it protected fairly well. Getting charged isn't an issue as long as it's from the front. Having to deal with the flank threat...that's my penalty for choosing that model though.
You guys get some rules wrong in every game. Blood worms can turn to face the avatar with no issues. Double 1 is stead fast no matter the wounds your model has. I like your videos otherwise.
Sorry to consistently disappoint you Justin. This is still only our 15th game or so of Kings of War and we are by no means experts on the rules. Several people have pointed out the Blood Worms countercharge miss and that's on me. We will be more diligent in situations where we are unsure. I was pretty sure on this one just in how I interpreted a "move" and a "pivot" being the same thing...like it is in the Movement phase. As for the double ones, we often say, "I need double ones here" and it's our way of saying, "double ones are the only way I'm screwed." Caleb was fairly intoxicated at the point of his mistake in this game and we corrected it on the spot though I know you've pointed this out on a prior report. Not sure I remember that situation though. I'll keep you in mind as we film in the future. Sorry for being human with the mistakes and that they are dulling your experience with the videos. We'll try to get better.
+Master Crafted Not trying to sound like a dick. I feel like I'm right there with you guys playing the game. That's because you guys do great battle reports live. I like that you play it out for us and not just take pictures and talk about the moves you made. Also victory points counter in the corner was a nice touch. I just started buying my models for a Night-stalker army and see the last few bat reps you did really helped me to see how the army is played and what units synergize together.

Thanks Squelch! We will likely stick to most of our reports being 2000 points but we learned quite a bit from this experience.
+Master Crafted looking forward to it. its really interesting to see you giys gettingore and more deadly with uour tactics :-)

Here they come, the gentlemen of Kings of War. Love the use of music when you introduce the armies. Looking forward to this :-)
Great report guys! really enjoyed it, quality is well beyond a lot of the bat reps done here on youtube.
Cheers

Great bat rep as always. I look forward to the next installment!

+Omega1907 The Mind Screeches are countered nicely by their limited range and horrendous cost ;)
Haha great bat rep. As a herd player, you must avenge us... next bat rep revenge of the herd?? Seriously though, thanks for the great content. Best KoW bat reps out there by far!
Great batrep to watch, looking forward to watching more :D
Love it!
All the effort is definitely worth it!!

Enjoyed it, learned a lot!

Awesome!
You are great, as always
Nice again- this channel is spoiling us :-)
BRILLIANT game guys!
Great battle report! Dude in the Guiness shirt looks like young Robert Blake aka Baretta.
YAY!!!
GREAT BAT REP!!!!!!! My empire of dust is going to have its hands full with either of these armies! Is friday a good day for our game? Take care guys:)!!!
Should be good for me at least. I'll check with Caleb as well and get back with you. I'm coming in Thursday evening.

Great report, as always. So are you guys coming to Manticon in March?
Unfortunately no. Only had time off in our schedules this year for one major event and we picked Adepticon. We want to help show off what KoW has to offer in as many ways as possible but we have a lot going on in our lives too.
Made my evening fellas!
GO BLUE! from Dayton Ohio!
Great videos, though got me to buy my first KOW army and book!

I agree, Wasn't sure why he said he couldn't fit.

Becuase we drink and it was late. We get silly sometimes. Old guy problems!
Still seats left for Clash of Kings....Up for game with ya guys...

Thanks (and for the fast replay). I'll definitely be raiding my Bones kickstarter box for bits at some point!
Anyone know what model that VOID LURKER is? Pretty neat winged demon gargoyle guy.
Dweller in the dark from the GW Lord of the Rings line.

Kyle once again proves he's the coolest member of Master Crafted. Caleb loses big points making fun of my Cornhuskers! BOOOOOO! ;)
