I agree, the cinematography and color grading in his videos are beautiful. also such an amazing skier with the passion to make a change. truly amazing.
One word to describe Nikolai: Legend This man went did 1657km in an eletric car, stopped i don't know how many times to recharge, probably spent a lot of € in energy for the car, lost his and Joonas' skis and found them and isn't focused on beeing the center of attention by letting his friends have more photage of themselves in the videos, a truly good person.
I don't mean to misunderstand your point purposely. But it definitely wouldn't make him a bad person to have more footage about himself on his own channel
@@CanadianSkylights You really aren't supposed to drive in wind like that with anything on the roof rails, I've used a rental with a roof tent before and they made it very clear if it gets too windy you have to stop driving incase this very thing occurs
One single upvote can't do this episode justice. I've seen Hollywood movies with worse story, camera work and editing, let alone the awesome skiing. Keep the good work - really looking forwards to the next episode.
great for environment? What about electric cars is so great about environment? Do you know how electricity is made? And don`t even get me started on those batteries...
@@lukarus4998 bro, even if those batteries are still bad for the environment, it's definitely more ecological as I said. Don't get me wrong but I guess you are just all on petrol. Stop blaming him for having an e-car, enjoy the "new way" he goes skiing and like it.
@@timotelazone I'm not saying he shouldn't enjoy it, it's just about all this "green energy". It's very far from being green. And I'm not at all on petrol, I'm just using my brain cells and understand what they want to sell us and why.
A few neat storylines together with a great cause , sick riding , top notch cinematography and a fun/funny crew. Another enjoyable watch. Chapeau my good man.
That was totally sick, the cinematography is just top tier, you guys tore it up. Also at 1:50, I had the same thing happen with my hands in the mountains earlier this month, hands so cold that all I could think about was curling up and trying not to puke! I thought that was just my body being weird, glad to know that I'm not the only one.
Pleaaaaaase can we have more Niko, most of us are stuck home and living out our 2021 ski dreams through your exploits. Well honestly all my ski dreams ;-)
Holy moly the poor roof box. :o That's why i go roadtripping with my skibro with a Grand Cherokee. No roof box, all material in the boot and backseat (6 pairs of ski, 4 pairs of shoes, clothes, food, snow chains etc). Just back from Saas-Fee (only 1.137km from Kiel) and it worked well. Hats off to try it with an e-car! Best wishes Tommy
Awesome video they always make me want to ski like that and have a goal to be able to in 100 years and this is just reassurance that others are trying to reach that goal too
Okay I just want to start by saying that this is an epic video. Also, I love that you tell us how much money the channel generates and how much is donated to charity. I think that's amazing. Watched a few of your vids and none of them have disappointed so you've earned my sub for sure. Keep it up.
In less than 5 months I'll be coming to Trondheim for half a year, one of the courses I hope to follow is climate mitigation. Each video gets me more and more excited about the winter there. Hope I'll be able to meet you!
Anyways for the best skiing ( between november and april) Near Trondheim. Go east towards border Mountains (Tydal) or southwest (Oppdal and county of møre and romsdalen) For skiresort near Trondheim you have Gråkallen closest to Trondheim. In meråker you have a good resort. You can go to Oppdal for a bigger resort or to Sweden if restrictions loosn. In Sweden you have åre and ramundberget as the biggest and best resorts in terms of quality
@@provenxreaperx Thanks a lot! I'll be staying there for half a year, so till begin February. I already looked up Romsdale and Sunndalsfjella. I really want to explore tour-skiing since pistes are not a real challenge anymore and I'm always looking for offpiste :)
We have an electric car, too, and I live in a pretty snowy place, too, and "3:24 honestly, it's not that sweet".. I felt that. (But the struggle is worth it tho)
Great stuff man but I am increasingly feeling like you could show a bit more of these lines! I mean I get the whole Idea of tight editing, but I literally saw 4 and a half turns out of that super long couloir and I would totally be down to watch the whole thing. The last section too. Unless you are saving the full lines for some other film project?
Great video ! I know this isn't your type of content, but could you maybe do a video in which you show your camera setup, like the gopro settings and other stuff? Because the quality is crazy in each video you do.
You still shooting drone shots with the Mavic 2 Pro? I'm always amazed at the amount of dynamic range you're able to get. The color grading and landscapes are amazing too.
ohh niko, of course a roadtrip like this can be aspiring. you just need to see the journey as the goal, not as something you need to get over with. you also need to enjoy driving and most importantly, you need to do it with friends, not alone ;) ah ok, you started to feel a little better about driving thousands of kilometres in a car at the end... and admittedly, you had an unlucky start. and "The dark line" didn't look that challenging compared to the "sunny line"... both looked not that easy, but doable
There is no better skiing content on TH-cam than niko. Not redbull not any ski brand literally nothing. Niko is the best of the best
Check out Markus Eder and Sam Anthamatten. These guys are awesome too.)

Electric car in cold weather .. not a great combo .. how many stops to charge up on your trip ?
The snow is best ‘next to the exposure’ due to facets- also super sketchy
