It is not a lie. This was known from the beginning and you will get tired of the red screen and slow movement. And that's why it will not have a place in legendary content....and then you will try the Catharsis mask and liquid engineer ...and after even the ninja kneepads... And in the end you will destroy it for exotic components.
I have to agree that this is not the best SMG in the game. The reason i made this video is because many thought that the bleed damage is so big you need to at least have 95.1% of Bleed Resistance to actually use the weapon. I'm just showing that you can use any build you want, and don't have to care about the bleed damage as long as you have some AoK or Bonus Armor.
Well, what i mean about "you can use any build you want" is that you can literally use anything but you need some AoK or Bonus Armor like what i explain in the video. I'll edit that comment.
Memento is far better option compare to Ridgeway's Pride on this type of build especially on 5 Directives. Ridgeway's Pride don't give you any extra Weapon Damage, you barely bleed them because you can't use Stinger Hive on Cool Skill modifier, and many more.
Hm...this is one way to use it... I still like more my DZ Backfire "Guerrilla" build: 2x Ceska 1x Hallow man mask 1x Fox's knee-pads 1x Contractor's gloves 1x Bell-stone [Adrenaline Rush] [2 reds, 4 blue] Not the most damaging build out there but i like it, sometimes i win sometimes i lose...eh, you know is DZ you can't be king of the hill. I use 2 mods to have 100% resist to bleed, and another element depending who i am fighting, all the rest hazard protection is at 90%. Secondary weapons: mid/long range DMR [is hitting hard and fast] or TKB/Tactical SA-58 [their almost similar, FAL Tac has more stability, TKB slightly more dmg] , handgun Orbit Skills: Striker shield/ Decoy It may not be a build for everyone, as most of the peoples tend to copy a build and they miss something. The fact that each build also has a different style to be play/use in fight. So if you do not get it or you do not like it, than that build is not for ya.
@@ibraxena Well i like LD as is one of the best weapons to run with an all blue build. I have a troll build, armor, armor regen, hazard protection...and is working very well in both PvP and PvE. But the best build i like to run with LD is with Patriot as is a good synergy...Patriot is de-buffing enemies and LD is buffing your dmg...and also the set is fixing the weak point with LD, bigger magazine !!!

@@graphosencrenoir4006f you want a LD build, I can provide one for your that kills players faster then you can say patriot lol, even if you aren’t good at the game, running something like true patriot LD, or backfire isn’t going to win you many fights, especially when 99% of builds have dmg stuffed into them, (HSD/CHD, etc.) no hate to your creativity or anything, it’s just kind of impractical to be in the dz with.
you should make sure you put solo and heroic on this build.. only viable when you get kills other wise.. this build won't work in a group or legendary. I will say its creative af tho
Unfortunately this game doesn't have enough variety for both weapons and gears for Legendary contents. And for the build, it's viable for a group play but you might want to swap its chest talent to Obliterate for more damage consistency.
I’ve mess around backfire from time to time. Have tried everything. I want this gun to be good. I think biggest problem is not the bleed it’s rate of fire.
I think you misunderstood what other TH-camrs mentioning about backfire. lots of players don't like bleeding effect while shooting in group play so they suggested builds with hazard protection. if you play as group, its really hard to get full stack.
That definitely works too! though i still prefer Hunter's Fury for its mark so i can see where's the enemies and 20% AoK to help me survive. Striker lacks AoK and stacks quite slow with this gun especially with its chest, you need 200 stacks and it's draining pretty fast.
I tried a couple of sets. Heartbreaker counters the bleed quite good, but lacks of dps. Still my favourite is striker, because it's the fastest way to stack up.15% handling AND 15% fire rate helps a lot and you have to build stacks anyway for the backfire. When i come to the chungas at the end of the level i'm fully stacked and do not loose stacks because im shooting a chunga. I'm running 90% hazard protection and a repair drone and of course 60% crit chance. So i and up with firing with over a million crits at an insane fire rate.
Can you describe more about your build? i know Striker have higher amplify damage but i prefer Hunter's Fury because its extra AoK, Disorient, and Marks help me surviving 5 Directives contents.

You can use it with striker too, ninjabackpack, picaro holster(double skill tier rolled/kneepads for 75 rnds, and 2 armor and 1 skill striker, shield/healing drone. Been messing with it though that was build in a group
bro i found this out by accident too coz i played around with my backfire + bloodsucker + armor on kill build and i noticed at the end when i have over 350 critical damage... i dont suffer the bleed anymore. this makes perfect sense!
Bro with 90 percent hazard protection and around 60 percent crit hit damage ı can hit up to 1 m crit hit damage with striker set. :( and ı am immune all status effetcs. Hunters emp, incursion boss wrights hardened foam anyting can’t hold you.
You don’t need 60% crit chance. The maximum you need is 50+. 9/10 times someone is running the coyote’s mask so you are losing out on more crit damage by running too much crit chance. The maximum amount of crit chance I run is 52%. The extra 8% will not get you that many more crits. As long as you have to where half your mag hits a crit, that’s more than enough. People run hazard protection to avoid the slowing from bleed. Slowing down the experience just makes the experience worse for everyone.

For one I love the backfire but I like to build around it my one hazard build I have 54 chc and 162 chd with 90%hazard and one bleed mod for 100 so I do have upfront damage and run bloodsucker on backpack for bonus armour my other is with 20% armour on kill and 57chc 135chd so not bad
I deleted an armour piece that worked with backfire because i didnt know what it was as I didnt even have the gun and then my first exotic cache dropped it. I don't know how well it works with it but i couldn't tolerate the red screen good to know there's othwr ways to build out since I dont have the bleed mods yet.
That's why Backfire is not favored among other SMGs. If you can't tolerate the bleed effect, you either losing damage by stacking Bleed Resistance or have a grey screen 85% of the time.

The Backfire is not worth using, Hunters Fury is one of my favourite builds in the game, I would never use the chest though, I would use Intimidate with the Momento(if playing solo) and a Dark Winter, the CMG Banshee is really good now with the buff it has just had in the latesst patch and either of these smg's would do more damage than the Backfire even with 3 Blue cores on the build.
Backfire is still entirely USELESS. This is because the stacks only last for 10 seconds, and they always run out before you can continue stacking or keep them active. Just watch your own video. You never even reach 100 stacks, let alone 200... haha. If the duration was around 30 seconds or 50, perhaps it would make more sense to use it. It would be interesting if there was any way to add the duration time, allowing for the creation of a build where this duration time can be amplified.
I have every Exotic I also have the Backfire but the thing about it whenever you use it will make you bleed I don’t know y it dose it instead of not effecting the enemies
That's the down side because you're getting that crazy high Critical Hit Damage from the talent, you can get 100% Hazard Protection or Bleed Resistance to negate that effect!
I don't really get it. No one with a Backfire build has "lied". The max stack bleed neglect was always a thing, and it's just a little bug. Playing Backfire is all about the stacking, if you need to suffer through it with red screens, snail movement, and instant death via low armor, then it's a wrong way to play. Keeping the 200 stacks is never the focus and you never get there playing weaker content.
I don't really get it either. It's slow if you compare to running but not really if you in combat, because you're not moving as much. @@ibraxena Unless you are playing with tank builds and kill super slow, you will rarely reach or get to keep 200 stacks between fights. Or maybe you are doing summit, or legendary. I personally have never reached 200 stacks in most of my engagements, because things die super quick and there are pauses between engagements when you lose all stacks. so i'm not sure the argument of keeping 200 stacks for long is supposed to be "a part/goal of the build".
I use a strikers build with hazpro on all four pieces, 2pc ceska (one with hazard protection) and a couple bleed resist mods. at 200 backfire stacks the crits to the body are 1.3 million and theres no bleed at all
You don't have to hit every shot and i'm aware about the slow movement, but as you can see, the slow movement doesn't really matter unless you're trying to speedrun in which case, you shouldn't use Backfire.
the HF is amazing but still, the Backfire is not usefull when you "build" for it. on the other hand, you can reach a 900k+ with a 1200 rpm vector so again, why bother?

Everyone using a shield and momento backpack instantly proves they arent using the game right. The big glaring issue is thinking just like every other TH-camr. Being small i had hoped you came with a fresh ideas and after 5 minutes i realized you didnt bring anything new to the table. Very, very disappointed. Let me know when you can take the baby bottle aka shield builds and the baby formula Similac aka no imagination to make your own builds. So very disappointed. Stop being a coward and stop shield builds. Do better
You could just ask for a build without a Shield and i can make a video about it, you don't have to write a paragraph of hate comment. You want me to not using a Shield and Memento, but then you'll complain because i'm using Striker set, and then you'll complain because i'm using Hunter's Fury. What's refreshing for you? Striker + Gunner will be your best choice for its low Rate of Fire. Umbra might work but i personally don't like its talent.

I have striker build with 100% blood resisnance and the Backfire gives over 1.2M dmg with full stack. You give around 500k.

I get most of these Exotics for the trophy case and then put them in my mule character. Backfire and Bluescreen immediately gets the mule dump.
Agree, both exotics you mention is not that great and can easily get outperformed by other weapon with the same type.

How in hell did you get that CHD to 240?? Using your build, I’ve got every piece of gear with CHD and only at 142. What am I missing?

all these builds suck just swap to your secondary close to the end of your reload and the mag is full but no bleed status
