I love your ideas for using up your scraps. I have a lot also and the temptation is great to just toss them. I bought an old vest pattern that looks just like yours and I am in the process of making me a vest as I just love yours. I keep trying to find time to get in my sewing room but its hard to juggle all my housework etc. Another thing I like to use my scraps for is to make hotpads and pot holders. I just sew the pieces directly to the foam stabelizer or batting pieces and then back and bind it. I also made a very cute clothespin bag to use for hanging out my laundry. I make notebook and book covers, pockets for tote bags, quilts and more with my scraps. I also like to purchase antique French fabric to make special little items. I’m working on a new Bible cover for my home study Bible. I have a machine and have used it a lot but for some reason I’m enjoying the quite slow hand sewing right now. It takes longer but I’m in now hurry.
Hi Julie! I’m glad you survived the freezing cold weather that we had, it did not snow here, thankfully! It snowed a little bit on day, but it didn’t stick, it was only for an hour anyway. I love your scrappy vest, the colors are perfect for that type of project. I, too, use up my scraps by making little useful items for my kids and grandkids. I want to make those bowl and pan protectors next. I have so many scraps, they are taking over my sewing room! Take care and stay warm😊

У нас в России жара дома, окна постоянно приоткрыты, плюс 26 в квартирах, ходим босиком в одних шортах и туниках, живем на севере. Жилет только в межсезонье одеваем и то когда на даче работаем или сидим на терассе отдыхаем. Теплые вещи мы очень редко покупаем , так как для дома они не нужны, и если выходим на улицу то одеваем шубы из натурального меха. У меня например их несколько штук , две норковые, мутоновая, из бобра и одна из белки . Беличья шубка греет как от обогревателя. Всем желаю мирного неба и жить в удовольствие и достатке. Приезжайте к нам в гости.

@@juliesfarmhouse6096 to keep my tiny scrap fabric in view, I store them in the heavy clear plastic/vinyl zippered pouches that my new bedroom linens are sold in. The valance and sham pouches are great for sorting by color while the big Queen size comforter pouch is my catch-all one by the sewing machine.
It's me I too like scrap fabric I make bookmarks and donate to our local library. I also take bags to sewing class great projects are made. I really enjoy your talent too👍❤ here in Ontario Canada where it's still snowing!

이곳 추위가 남쪽으로 다 내려가서 지난주와 어제까지 3,40도가 넘었어요 비도 몇일씩내리고 바람불고 봄이 오는줄 알았다니까요 덕분에 동네길들은 말 그대로 빙판 저도 한번 벌러덩 헸어요.3,40도 하다 오늘 1도가 되니 춥네요 .
이 추위가 거기서 온 것이로군요~ ㅎㅎ
