You can place scaffolding directly on soil, it will replace the soil and build a scaffolding there so you dont have to remove the item and dig out the soil underneath, you can simply replace the "foundation", this goes for soil/Bricks and other things too you can use as foundations.
You CAN draw platforms while running, but your mouse has to move while doing so for some reason. So if you're running left/right and you ever so slightly drag the mouse (or just wiggle it slightly), it will draw the platforms no problem. It's really weird. Right-click on research tech to preview the unlocks, which will show you what's needed for crafting.
another good video, lots of progress! just FYI, with the metal, you can use ore, or ingots. the ore gives you 2 metal, the ingots give 3, so ingots are slightly more efficient. I think almost anything can be refined, if you hover over something it tells you what it refines into. also you may want to look for any resource deposits near your mana conduit, sometimes there is mana nearby!
I've not played this game, so take this with a grain of salt, but judging by the UI element to the immediate left of your hotbar, it looks like you can swap hotbars. Perhaps look into finding a keybind for it so you can access your full inventory from your hotbar. This is something you can do in other games I have played, like Stardew Valley, Starbound, and FFXIV, so I fel like it’s fairly likely it’s possible in this game as well.
Yeah, sorry about that! TH-cam is not what it once was... and people click away if they get "bored" for more than 3 seconds. I prefer uncut myself, but am just trying to test and see if the videos would help more viewers stay engaged.
I find it ironic that you complain about people wandering off after 20 seconds when you also complain a lot about not being patient enough for things in the game. We all struggle with getting bored much easier these days ... I tend to watch you as a play.
I'd not say it's purely around "getting bored", it's more about wanting to spend the time more efficiently - as it's a bit ironic to watch how to play automation game and seeing all the pure grinding of the repetitive work. Most others creators do cuts now to save watchers time and so they make 20 mins video instead of a 1 hour one. Like in real life, it's not efficient to choose do something 3x slower. It's a different topic if you watch only for fun with no intent of playing on your own, but I'd guess it's really not a majority - at least personally I watch such videos only to get a heads up how to do/setup things properly from the start. + I'm watching KoS's videos at 2x speed already. :D
Biofuel problem, the square above it is a spliter and it will push down a biofuel into your wood line.
Thanks!

Oh cool, that will definitely speed things up
@@KatherineOfSky You can also do this with ladders as well.

If you unlock "excavate" in the mainframe you can hit the B key and mine a 2x2 area. Makes exploring and clearing areas much faster

This game is a continuation/ inspired by...of survival vacancy, which is fine since it was never finished
Keep them coming Katherine! :D
Thank you so much for your support! 🦆
Maybe those pipes come with their own pumps, lol
Did I see you picked up items from a tube without destroying the tube, to clear a blockage? How do we do it, was that a key press?
Press F, just like Factorio
You’re sure there isn’t more hot bar slots ?? Looks like there’s ticks next to the hot bar that could be 40ish. Maybe in another video?
I believe you can cycle them, but I want to see all 40 slots at once, like in Factorio.

I personally find all the cutting very disruptive, but understand I am in the minority.

I also dislike the cuts. Give me a 6 hour video ,😋
