Nope...not based on the Equinox or the Traverse. It uses the same GM C1 platform as the GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5 but with a wider stance and wheelbase differences. The AWD is not "permanent". It can be switched to either FWD or AWD. Did you do any research on the new Blazer? Made it half way through your nonsense. Had to bail. LOL!!
So I was wrong about the platform, my bad. But honestly it's still a crossover. As far as I was aware, for the longest time, and the most common type, AWD has always been a permanent system that varies in torque distribution depending upon the driving conditions. I must have done some research, considering that I got the lone 2 engines and drivetrains correct. The whole point of my video is that GM messed up and I, like many K5 and S10 Blazer fans, am not happy.
