@@CryptoBimbo But, there are excuses. Cats need quite a bit of financial care, even if they're outdoor cats, and not everyone can afford it. They'll have to buy food, provide shelter, take them to the vets if they're poorly, etc. Not everyone has the financial stability to cope with that. And they could already be crouded with responsibilites- They might have kids, might be disabled/have a relative who's disabled, etc. Not everyone CAN take care of a cat, and that could lead to the cat being malnourished, unheathly, and in a worse state than being a stray. People can also have health reasons not to have them, such as they could be allergic, cats can bring fleas to a home, not have a proper place to keep the cats healthy, unable to access vetinary services, might have another animal/person who reacts badly to other animals, etc. If you were to take in a stray cat when you're not in the proper position to, it'll most likely endanger them more and make their lives even worse. If a cat's comfortable with being a stray, then there is no excuse to not leave a little food or giving them a cheap little place to sleep, but not everyone can cope with cats.

The only reason you think they need homes is because of hundreds of generations of ignorant people like yourself who think they love animals took away their survival skills by forcing cats to be pets and keeping them locked up and begging for food every day.
This isn't about giving what was needed, it's about randomly finding a cat and taking a quick video in the moment. It's not that complicated. I guarantee you don't stop your life everytime some creature out there could eat some food and go home and get food and return it to the animal that probably isn't even there anymore.
