This is Part 2 of my Portuguese videos. We had just spent 5 days in Lisbon (Part 1). We took an Uber to the Lisbon airport to get our rental car. A representative from Drive On Holidays was waiting for us and quickly got us on the shuttle to their off site location. After a bit of paperwork we were on our way to Óbidos. Unfortunately, it was raining when we arrived. We made the best of it and really enjoyed the charming streets and views from the old city walls that surround Óbidos. From there we made our way to Nazaré hoping to see the giant waves we had heard about. We were not disappointed as the rain had stopped and we were able to wander on beautiful and deserted beaches. We then made our way to Coimbra. Unfortunately, we were not able to see much as the traffic was extremely heavy and we couldn't find a parking spot. We had lunch in a grocery store! Then it was on to our final destination for the day - Vila Nova de Gaia across the Douro River from Porto. We enjoyed dinner at a modern restaurant. The next morning we had tickets to get into Livraria Lello - a very beautiful bookstore. We raced through the Port Warehouse District trying to find our way across the river, through pouring rain to finally arrive and get into the bookstore. It is truly beautiful but very crowded. After that the sun came out and we had coffee and pastries while listening to a very talented musician. Janice had the "best cup of coffee in my life"! We then spent a wonderful afternoon exploring Porto and enjoying a riverside lunch followed by a port tasting at Piano. Our day ended with dinner and a Fado performance. Porto is a wonderful city and we highly recommend it! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it. Obrigado!
