35 years ago in prayer I was taken into the light for eternity held in truth and unimaginable love and ecstasy and God who is the light (Jesus) made himself like a man in front of me and said to me " I can be in the world at any time " this is the first time I'm conscious of ever hearing the word Christophany, it's not that I needed it confirming but still it's wonderful to hear.
May our God Jesus be praised and blessed for ever

Seems very few "Christians, Protestants" or other denominations understand the lineage, authority and identity of Melchizedek. If they were listening to a modern prophet, and to modern revelation, the answers would be simple and profound in the same moment. Melchizedek was the primary person in that time, with God's authorization, to preside over the faithful children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Noah!! Melchizedek was authorized by someone not identified in the Bible, but in the same manner as Jesus Christ authorized His own apostles!!

I love his delivery and his clear concise way of explaining what he as a scholar understands to be an accurate interpretation of the scriptures. I also listen to Dr. Michael Heiser, who disagrees with him on certain small points, but generally they agree overall. What I do appreciate is this channel. Putting out this kind of content gets Christians THINKING and DIGGING into the Bible, seeking answers. For too long Christians have ignored the old testament, as though it were NOT relevant to our faith. Jesus was a Jew, ALL of the disciples were Jews. Most of the new converts were Jews. They KNEW their history, their sacred writings. They celebrated the feasts and the holy days. Most of what is said by them is ONLY understood correctly through the lens of Jewish writings and traditions. That is where the richness of the Gospel lay.

The most amazing purpose of Melchizedeck being a higher King than the line of David, higher Priest than the line of Levites, higher Prophet than the line of Moses and Aaron... then Jesus being in that Order, opens a way for both Jews and Gentiles to have no condemnation from the law of sin and death. Melchizedek's Order provides a way for every human to be set free to be back in communion with God...similar to Adam and Eve's walk with God in the Garden.

Whenever the bible speaks of LORD think of this:
In the Northwest Semitic languages-Ugaritic, Phoenician, Hebrew, Amorite, and Aramaic-the word baʿal signified "owner" and, by extension, "lord", a "master", or "husband". Cognates include the Akkadian Bēlu (𒂗),[c] Amharic bal (ባል), and Arabic baʿl (بَعْل). Báʿal (בַּעַל) and baʿl still serve as the words for "husband" in modern Hebrew and Arabic respectively. They also appear in some contexts concerning the ownership of things or possession of traits.
The Baʿal of Ugarit was the epithet of Hadad but as the time passed, the epithet became the god's name while Hadad became the epithet. Baʿal appears as one of the sons of El in Ugaritic sources. Both Baʿal and El were associated with the bull in Ugaritic texts, as it symbolized both strength and fertility.
Canaanites, including hebrews used to sacrifice their first borns to El through Ba'al which is why the OT prophets had been spoken out harshly against the rite.
As a motif the sacrifice of christ is an analogy of this rite combined with the OT prohibition of sacrificing first borns.

      Melchizedek was Jesus.
It was Abraham who told us this, when he met him and gave to him his tithe. He told us by referring to a title ONLY Jesus holds.
Jesus was King (Top Most Leader) and High Priest (Top Most Teacher) of Salem. Jesus had to walk the walk showing he can be Both for that is his future when Father gives to him his Church as his bride to be.
Jesus transferred the Laws of Leviticus to his Priesthood by the name of Melchizedek. This kept the Laws of Leviticus active upon mankind and still to this day they are.
Also, it is The Priesthood of Melchizedek one searches after and not the name of Jesus when finding Father's True Church from the 100,000's of Satan's false Churches and their congregations to them all.
*Father's Church will be following the Priesthood of Melchizedek. This is one of the keys to Father's Church that defines Truth from False.

You are citing John 8:56 where the Lord said: Your father Abraham rejoiced (NET footnote, rejoiced greatly) that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad. (NET footnote: What is the meaning of Jesus’ statement that the patriarch Abraham “saw” his day and rejoiced? The use of past tenses would seem to refer to something that occurred during the patriarch’s lifetime. Genesis Rabbah 44:25ff, (cf. 59:6) states that Rabbi Akiba, in a debate with Rabbi Johanan ben Zakkai, held that Abraham had been shown not this world only but the world to come (this would include the days of the Messiah). More realistically, it is likely that Gen 22:13-15 lies behind Jesus’ words. This passage, known to rabbis as the Akedah (“Binding”), tells of Abraham finding the ram which will replace his son Isaac on the altar of sacrifice-an occasion of certain rejoicing.)

John the Baptist wasnt a regular levite and shem is melchesdek .. apttmh..abraham gave shem a 10th for teaching him how to worship tmh correctly and recieved power to take the kings down.. Abraham's father was terah and idolater who made idols and could not teach shem how to worship God because he was an idolater and didn't worship the God of Noah and shem.. so he went to his elder shem.. everyone went to shem to learn things at one time.. Perhaps we've been mis-taught or worse, scammed? My video on this topic launches tomorrow. (hint, I think we are being scammed by greedy people in the church)

Melchizedek at the same time that Abram defeated the five Kingdoms while rescuing Lot with only 318 men came back to bring one tenth of the spoils to Melchizedek who met Abram with wine and bread. This man was Shem, the second son of Noah. Shem was the only High King and High Priest of Salem at that time. Melchizedek is a title of priesthood that had no beginning and has no end. The Second Book of Enoch is not a part of Bible in either Jewish or Christian tradition; instead, it belongs to the vast body of Jewish literature that is related to the books in the sacred canon. More, it was not written by the Enoch we know from Genesis 5. The text we have today was probably composed in Greek by a Jewish writer (possibly in the first or second centuries CE), but the text survived mostly in Slavonic language translation. The way Jesus applied Melchizedek was to himself since the question was asked in the New Testament who the people thought that the Messiah was. The answer given by the religious teachers was the son of David and then Jesus quoted Psalm 110:1-4, the Lord said to my Lord meaning that King David was referring the Melchizedek of verse 4 as being his Lord meaning that he existed prior to the Incarnation. Fact is that this particular Psalm 110:1-4 is inextricably linked to Hebrews 7:1-3 and in Psalm 110: 1-4 verse 4 is revealed as the Heavenly Melchizedek which had nothing to do with an earthly Canaanite King. Factor into the account that Dead Sea Scroll Document 11Q13 reveals that the ancients believed that Melchizedek was Elohim and would as High Priest of God conduct the Day of Atonement on behalf of God's people on the 10th Jubilee which would have been fulfilled at the time of Christ's baptism in 27 AD.

    • @ATinyPillow
      @ATinyPillow 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@jojoanggono3229 : Yes, Shem was in fact the 1st king of jeruSalem. Scripture says that God preserved the priesthood through the flood. Since only Noah, his wife and Noah’s 3 sons and their wives, were saved on the ark - Noah being the family patriarch would have been the priest that God preserved through the flood. It can be no other way given the 8 people who were saved on the ark. Therefore, when Noah passes, the priesthood goes to his eldest son who would be Shem.
Therefore Shem would have been priest and 1st king of jeruSalem simultaneously in Abraham’s time, and to no surprise the word “MelchiZedek” literally breaks down as “Melchi” meaning king + “Zedek” meaning priest. The dictionary definition essentially says the same adding that MelchiZedek was the Old Testament priest-king who met Abraham, feel free to check it out for yourself. Since Shem is the only priest-king of jeruSalem in Old Testament history, the only possible choice has to be Shem. Our Messiah is the only other priest-king so he is therefore after the MelchiZedek priest-king priesthood initially established by Shem and since our messiah is now immortal, he is MelchiZedek priest-king forever because he cannot die just like it says in the book of Hebrews.
It doesn’t hurt that it literally says Shem is MelchiZedek in my Hebrew Bible as you may have read in my earlier comment.

Im going to say that maybe his parents died when he was young. He was most likely an only child. Also he didn't have any children of his own and probably didn't have an any siblings. So melchezedek will be a high priest forever because there was no one else to pass the title to. The same thing with jesus. He came into the world in a miraculous way. He had no children of his own. He was the only one qualified to die for us and he did so . So he is a high priest forever.

NET Bible note: Salem is traditionally identified as the Jebusite stronghold of old Jerusalem. Accordingly, there has been much speculation about its king. Though some have identified him with the preincarnate Christ or with Noah’s son Shem, it is far more likely that Melchizedek was a Canaanite royal priest whom God used to renew the promise of the blessing to Abram, perhaps because Abram considered Melchizedek his spiritual superior. But Melchizedek remains an enigma. In a book filled with genealogical records he appears on the scene without a genealogy and then disappears from the narrative. In Ps 110 the Lord declares that the Davidic king is a royal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek. It is his royal priestly status that makes Melchizedek a type of Christ: He was identified with Jerusalem, superior to the ancestor of Israel, and both a king and a priest. Unlike the normal Canaanites, this man served “God Most High” (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן, ʾel ʿelyon)-one sovereign God, who was the creator of all the universe. Abram had in him a spiritual brother.

Most likely doesn't cut it with scripture. If you don't know don't guess. The truths of the Bible can't be learnt Bible mere scholastic training. Literally everyone in the Bible with that approach had to forget all they learned. And start over with God the spirit teaching them. Paul being the main. One of the secrets in plain sight of the Bible. Is that he rearley use highly educated people to reveal scripture. Most times it's some poorly educated person. And this is by design. The educated man has a tendency to try and figure it out himself making a mess. While the poorly educated knows he must wait till the spirit reveals it to him. The Bible is a book of parrables, stories, histories and symbols. You can't understand it by just using reading be ability. Jesus talked in parables to the multitudes ALL THE TIME. The deciples got fed up and asked him why he does that. The answer he gave is " because it is not for them to understand. But for you to understand. Then he explained the parable to them. Proving you will never really understand unless God tells it to you. Not approaching it like a thesis for class that will just make you a scribe or a Pharisee. Able to quote but not understand.

We’re all kings and priests in a sense, but the priesthood simply denotes one’s that reveal and represent God on earth to others. In the OT the nation of Israel were a kingdom of priests in the sense that they represented the one God to the surrounding nations. Christians today are priests in that we represent God to men through Jesus, and he is image of his Father.

In my studies I found That Melchizedek means patriarch king . In the time of Abraham the eldest male person in a family was the priest of that family . He would be the eldest patriarch of that family . So after the flood in Noah’s day , Noah lived another 300 years are after the flood . He was a preacher of righteousness and his ministry lasted until his death . Then his son Shem became the preacher or priest of righteousness . Abraham was a direct descendant of Shem not of Cannon . Shem was the eldest patriarch of the family of Abraham . Shem lived 500 years after the flood . That made him Abraham’s priest . Actually Shem outlived Abraham I’ve 30 years . Jacob was about 50 years old when Shem died . It’s my understanding that Shem was Melchizedek by studying the Bible and doing the math . Then I read the book of Jesher and it said that Shem was Melchizedek . What the writer of Hebrews was trying to say is that Melchizedek was not of the linage of Aaron the high priest during The time Moses was given the law . He was alive some 500 years before the Levitical priesthood started . So he was out of order to be the Levitical High Priest . To be high priest he had to be a direct descendant of Aaron . Jesus in like manner was a Jew and not a descendant of Aaron the high priest . But he became our high priest and king . Jesus was “ begotten “ of Mary and never preexisted as a man before he was begotten. Begotten means to come into being . But as God , which was the Holy Spirit he always existed .

To my amazement, I discovered that Issac the son of Abraham met Shem and Eber , the great grand Father of Abraham, also Esau and Jacob met Shem also. Isaac was,. In reading the Book of Jasher, long time after that discovery, I also noticed that Abraham was sent to Shem to be trained by Shem by his father Terah, same Abraham sent Isaac to be trained, same Isaac sent his sons Esau and Jacob to be trained in the same place but Esau refused to go but Jacob went.

Kenim , I’ve been a Bible student for 50 years and I’ve had in-depth Bible studies in all those years . What we have to do is get away from all the traditions of men and go back to the King James Version of the Bible to get the true meaning of Gods word . KJV is still the most accurate version of the Bible . Read the prophesies of who Jesus is like Isaiah 9:6 . It says the child born ( Jesus ) would be the Mighty God , the Everlasting Father . In translation from Hebrew to English the word Saviour was was translated Jesus . Isaiah 12:2 says “ Behold , God is my salvation; I will trust , and not be afraid : for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song ; he also is become my salvation . Jesus name meant Jehovah has become our salvation . It’s written over 300 times in the Bible “ the Lord our God is one Lord “ . Deuteronomy 6:4 says “ Heat O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord “ . So the point I’m trying to make is that the God of creation became the Son of redemption. The Bible never taught a trinity of persons or Gods . When Philip said “ Lord , shew is the Father “ in John 14:8 , in verse 9 “ Jesus saith unto him , Have I been so long time with you , and yet hast thou not known me , Philip ? Th that hath seen me hath seen the Father ; and how sayers thou then Shew us the Father “ . Jesus calmed to be the Father in that scripture. There’s so many scriptures that prove that Jesus is the Father “”. Read Revelation 1:8 Jesus calmed to be the Almighty . Matthew 1:23 says “ Behold , a Virgin shall be with child , and shall bring forth a son , and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is , God with us “ . In John 4:24 Jesus said “ God is a Spirit ant they that worship him must worship him is Spirit and truth “. It says God is “ A “ Spirit . That means one Spirit and that’s the Holy Spirit . That Holy Spirit is the Father or the Father of creation . As Spirit God didn’t have a body or form as we know of . A Spirit is invisible and can’t be seen . So the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary and she conceived of the Holy Ghost . That makes the Holy Ghost the Father of Jesus . That’s how the God of creation became the man Christ Jesus . 1TIMOTHY 3:16 says “ And without controversy, Great is the mystery of Godliness . God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit , seen of angels , preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory “. God was manifest in the flesh. Manifest means to be shown as . God was shown as flesh . Kenim I haven’t even scratched the service on the scriptures that proves Jesus is God but there’s enough in this little Bible study to get you started . Have a blessed day my friend!!!

Melchizedek is not the same person as Yahshua. The reason being, is that they are different priesthoods. When the scriptures say, "You are a priest forever" it is referring to David's son, Yahshua and when it says "after the order of Melchizedek" it is distinguishing these two people as separate. When Yahshua said of Abraham that "he saw my day" he was referring to a vision which he was given of his own time since he uses the word "day" and not "he saw me" but it was of his day and time. So this means, that Abraham seeing Melchizedek did NOT constitute seeing the Christ but that Melchizedek is like an angel of God who lives actually after the order of Christ. Yahshua is the First and the Last and there is no one besides him. Thus, when David had mentioned that Yahshua was a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek he was only relating to it in the only way he could which was that historically Melchizedek came before the Christ, but we know that the Christ has been before the foundation of the world and so we know that Melchizedek is truly a priest forever after the order of Yahshua. This means that the bread and wine that was brought to Abraham was actually a prophetic sacrament bringing Abraham into the fold of the new covenant in Yahshua Christ's blood and that he was the first Christian. It’s really sad how many Christians are surface readers and lack discernment when analyzing scripture. Why put limitations on God as if He can’t do anything? You really think Jesus being eternal would wait 4,000 years from creation to appear on earth to His people ? Melchizedek is one of the MANY preincarnate forms of Christ. Simple.
Abraham is born almost 300 years after the flood. Shem was still alive during Abraham life and we know who his father was and where he came from. Melchizedek obviously wouldn’t be him or Noah for that record since we have their families genealogy.
    Melchizedek:
    • Appears out of obscurity: (Omnipresent
    • King of Salem (King of Peace)
    • Brought bread & wine (communion)
    • Priest of the Most High God (of not for)
    • Blessed Abraham (Godly Authority)
    • Received Tithes
Jesus could appear and disappear amongst the hostile crowds of the Jews. He was labeled as King of the Jews. He gave the disciples bread & wine as a symbol of remembrance. He ascended into heaven to be at the right hand of the Father as our high priest. He blessed many while on earth and to God only are we to give our tithe.
This was a foreshadowing of Christ so that the Jews could recognize the Messiah when he arrived and fulfilled all the same actions. It should’ve been no question who Christ was to the Jews just as it should be no question to us who Melchizedek was. He even said “search the scriptures, see they speak of me” he was referring to the Old Testament since the new didn’t exist in His time. Paul as well as the disciples received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit after Christ ascension, so scripture was made clearer to them than it ever had been. That’s how Paul was able to put only Christ in the priesthood order of Melchizedek....they’re the same entity!!!

I need to learn more. Did Melchizedek receive tithe before blessing, welcoming and feeding Abraham and the warriors? I read that Abraham gave tithe of his spoils (Heb 7:4) and the remaking spoils was used to pay his soldier and the balance returned to the king of Sodom, in other words, he took nothing as he was blessed by God. Please educate me if I am wrong. Did Abraham worship Melchizedek? Who are the parents of Elijah? Could he also be a pre-incarnate of Christ as his genealogy was not given, especially when we know how he left the earth? Was he worshipped or accepted worship? May the Holy Spirit continue to guide our knowledge of the Word of God. Thanks.

Thus he pictured Jesus who was to hold both offices, viz High priest and King for the whole world. No Israelite could serve as King and Priest. @@TheGospelRenewed No you need to look closer. Look at Heb 7: 11 .Melchizedek has no genealogy, Jesus as a man had Aaron as his priestly Genealogy or foundation. In Melchizedeks day their was no priesthood, he appears in the record abruptly and is not mentioned until Psm 110:1,2. But he does nothing else in the rest of the Bible. All he does is typify Jesus as did Moses as a mediator prefiguring Jesus. . Paul reasons: "What further reason need was there that ANOTHER priest should arise after the manner of Melchizedek? While Paul does not say it, he meant it was AS IF .he would remain forever because there is no record of his birth or death. I like the analysis, but I'm confused by a couple details you didn't address in this video, and I think they're pretty crucial ones:
    1. If Melchizedek was simply a historical Canaanite priest and king, why would Abraham, the Father of Israel, to whom God had promised would be in the lineage of the Messiah and the foundational figure for the entire nation of Israel, feel he was in a higher status than himself, and give him 1/10th of everything he owned? (Genesis 14:18-20)
    2. The order Priests wasn't established until Moses freed the Israelites from Egyptian captivity and the Lord established the Levitical order of priesthood nearly 500 years after Abraham. So how was Melchizedek a priest of the One True God if that title and role was not even established or defined by God at that time?

Abraham understood offerings and tithes. Hopefully, so do we. In this carnal age of fake christianity we see scams throughout so called churches with fake names such as saint this and the church of that? the book of revelation makes it clear that churches are named by location. The universal Church is all the believers.
Tithes are offered to God. Abraham had direct contact with God. To suggest that Melchizedek was not Christ is the result of reading scripture with your mind instead of your spirit. There are many things biblically that are not of this world. Some Heavenly things are given earthly metaphors so we can visualise the application and context of meaning.
Christ is the ladder in Jacobs dream. The angels were descending and ascending upon the ladder.
Christ is the only way to God the father. The scripture does not give us an anointing or appointment of Melchizedek. His is without genealogy, without mother or father. Thereof he is eternal. Unless the scriptures are false? God is eternal. Through receiving Christ through faith in him? We receive Christs life giving spirit and are made eternal with him.
What confirms that this is christ is that The Greater blesses the lesser. As Abraham did to Pharaoh. If Melchizedek was such a prominent figure we would see and hear more from him? We do. Because he is christ he is in evrry word of the bible. Its just that some want to impress with their knowledge. That would be eating from the tree of knowledge.
Should we read the scripture with spirit? God the father will reveal Christ to us.
Even though this man is a refined speaker and has grey hair from age? he has not seen Christ in this instance. Knowledge is not wisdom. And only the father reveals Christ. Consider that the disciples did not understand until Christ breathed the holy spirit into them.
So too for this man whom speaks after eating from the tree of knowledge. I pray that he opens his heart to have our heavenly father place his will, his heart and mind into this mans life. Dr gentry is not saved.

    • @ralphgoreham3516
      @ralphgoreham3516 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@Markfield Park hello again. Hmm. Please prepare to learn a most important truth. You arrive at that conclusion solely because most modern bibles have followed the Jewish wicked priests and prophets
Mal 2:1,2, Jer 23:27 and Rome. An examination of the Jerusalem Bible, American standard version, Byingtons and some of Youngs, and any interlinear will confirm it is in the Hebrew over 6800 times. What does that tell you? Why did the priests remove it and replace it with LORD. (Adonai).Read all of Jer. 23. Exod 3:14. Moses asks for his NAME.v13. Then at V14 the angel first answers "ehyeh asher ehyeh" This does NOT mean "I am that I am". Ehyeh is derived from the hebrew verb "hayah" which means to be, or to become. The correct meaning is" I will be that which I will be", or" I will become what I will become." The Hebrew for "I am" is "ani". Please get an interlinear and go to, for example, Lev. 19. There you will find 20 times "ani Yahweh" or the Jews today say "ani yehowah". That is , "I am Yehowah". If you get a Hebrew concordance you will NOT find "ehyeh" translated/used for God in the entire Bible. It is plain wrong.
      continued

    • @ralphgoreham3516
      @ralphgoreham3516 4 ปีที่แล้ว

So what is the essence of V14? In V12 Moses is told "I will be with you". So telling Moses "ehyeh asher ehyeh" he was assuring Him that what ever it takes, whatever role is needed, Israel will be delivered .He would become whatever it takes. Now V 15. Quoting from the ASV " And God said moreover unto Moses. Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your fathers, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob hath sent me to you : THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER, AND THIS IS MY MEMORIAL UNTO ALL GENERATIONS." The Israelites and Moses already knew the NAME but having been in bondage 400 years had never seen Him in any action. Moses was thus assured this was the same God. The patriarchs freely used the name, even built altars to Him and gave them names such as Jehovah-jireh and Jehovah -nissi. Scholars believe the NAME means "He causes to become", or" he causes to be". PRONUNCIATION. Nobody knows for sure exactly how it was said for it was forbidden to say or write the name some 2500 years ago. There are about a dozen opinions today.
The 3 main contenders are Yehowah, Yahuah and Yehovah. Yahweh was decided upon by ENGLISH scholars early in the 18th century but has lost favor these days. Continued

God is well aware of all of the above, but so long as we are using ,praising and singing to his illustrious name as best we can, he will be happy. As proof, just take a look at the huge organisation that JWS have become, when in the 1870s there was just 6 men sitting around a table. I wont give numbers and accomplishments here, may be the video maker wont be happy. So" I AM" is not and never has been Gods name. The consensus is today that it is made up of 3 syllables. The English Jehovah is best known , especially in 1931 when the name was adopted, and due to us is all the more so. The day will come in the paradise earth to come that all there will know exactly how to say it. Zech 14:9

-And Malka Zadika, who was Shem bar Noah, the king of Yerushalem, came forth to meet Abram, and brought forth to him bread and wine; and in that time he ministered before Eloha Ilaha.-

Correct. Melchizedek is Shem, son of Noah.

The fact that Melchizedek is Shem is confirmed in the book of Jasher, I believe.

Yashar (Jasher) 16:11 "And Adoni-Tsedeq king of Yerusha-layim, the same is Shem, went out with his men to meet Avram and his people, with bread and wine, and they remained together in the valley of Melek. 16:12 And Adoni-Tsedeq blessed Avram, and Avram gave him a tenth from all that he had brought from the spoil of his enemies, for Adoni-Tsedeq was a priest before ELOHIYM.

In Ethiopian language Melke-Tsadik( Melchizedek) means the face of a holy man. Not fully accurate but close enough.
Adoni-tsadiq means holy father(in Amharic/Tigrinya) language spoken in Ethiopia. We still use those titles when addressing priests and saints.
I just thought it was interesting what is written In the book of Jasher!!!

Jasher contradicts the Bible, it says Moses smote the Egyptian and fled Egypt at 18, when Exodus said 40. Then had some strange narrative where Moses was king over, I believe it was the Moabites from the time he was 18 till almost 40. Overall, I think Jasher (the version we have now) might have a few true stories, but has been filled with lies. If you read it, notice that it goes on and on about the works of men but says little about God. It has long, long narratives about what Abraham, Moses, or any other of the patriarchs did - but those stories usually don't tie back into giving us a better understanding of who God is. It's just plain history for the vast majority of it

Religion is the opium of the masses. They tried real opium and started killing everyone so back to old faithful. Take your medicine and know your role. Of course a real connection with the Gods is not religion. I'd go as far to say its the opposite of religion.

You are right......Melchizedek was just Shem’s title as the King of Salem. The reason he was said to have no beginning of days is because, as Noah’s son, he lived a really long time, and was really old. The reason he was said to have no end of days is because he and his city were so righteous that they finished the days of their probation on earth early, and were translated and were taken from earth like the City of Enoch. The city of Jebus was built upon the site where Salem once stood, and was the reason that location was important and sacred to the Israelites when they attempted to reclaim the land of of Canaan. It is also the reason they renamed the city of Jebus, JeruSALEM; or basically translated as City of Salem.
