He’s good with a blank check. We liked him in Detroit back when there was no salary cap, after that he left the organization in shambles. Don’t like him much, but would love to see McDavid, Draisaitl, RNH, etc. win one though! But it wouldn’t be because of him lol.
@@alexsmith6131 He won a cup not too long after the NHL switched to the salary cap. He’s not terrible, but the contracts he gives and the term length is typically awful.

He has 0 eye for talent, benefitted from draft picks by Devallano and Bowman, made 1 impact draft pick which was a no brainier in Dylan Larkin, screwed the wings cap for over a decade with terrible loyalty contracts to players who retired years ago and are still getting paid today, and let Hossa go. He's trash, enjoy your prolonged run of never winning a cup as long as you have that Bozo.
@cpmyers Jared Spurgeon makes the same amount and doesn't do anymore or less than nurse so it was where the market was at that time and many other teams would of taken nurse in fa for that price
