Spot on! I have food allergies, so I am buying an Oliver. I cook my food. No more restaurants. No more hotels.
It’s given me so much more freedom to travel being able to bring/cook my own food. You will love the Oliver!

Thank you for sharing your story, also thank you for your comment on the compost toilet. I have been on the fence about that option but the more I research it the more I'm convinced that's the way to go. Like you I have been researching the heck out of trailers (I'm a newbie too) and I like that there isn't anything on an Oliver that can rust, rot, nothing for termites to eat, no leaks. For what they cost it just seems like a great investment. I look forward to buying the legacy 2 elite too travel around the 48 states. I live in Hawaii and that is something I have always wanted to do when I retire which will be next year.

Thanks Kathy, nice job from #381. We justified the price by figuring we could travel for a few years and then sell it and not lose much $. Well what we didn’t plan on was how much we loved the Oliver. So now it looks like we will have it until we are no longer able to travel and then our son and his family will assume custody.
Ken, thank you! That is definitely another great point, they do hold their value. We don’t have kids but I do have nephews that want dibs on ours when we can’t travel any longer..lol!
Great video and testimony about your Oliver. We are currently owners of a 2016 Airstream 26', and like you I have always loved the Oliver's white/clean looks, but unfortunately the deal breaker for us was the small fridge and wet bath! I find myself always "coming" back to look at Oliver videos, and hoping 🤞that one day they will come up with a floorplan that has a dry bath and larger fridge, especially since I will retire in 2.5 years and we will be going semi full time then.
Rich, Thank you for the kind words and for watching! We had the same concerns about the wet bath and the fridge size so I understand that trepidation especially if you are planning to semi-full time. We actually love the wet bath in the Oliver with the compost toilet, it’s really quite comfortable and easy to adapt to. A larger fridge would be nice especially if your full timing, who knows, perhaps down the road that may come to fruition.😍
Thank you Kathy... this was a nice video & I appreciate you mentioning that you guys are newbies & how scary it can be. It reminds me of my hubby & I. We're the same age & never cared about camping... but life happens & you grow & change... then all of a sudden it sends... you want to start camping. 😅 I actually touched base with you before about your Nest video... that was where I started too - it's so cute! Thankfully I began to think it was too little for our desires for boondocking here in Colorado (& we're newbies) & we definitely need a good solar pkg. I'm still concerned that even the oliver may not be as capable for where we want to go with our 4x4 jeep gladiator & our bumpy & rocky terrain dirt roads for off road boondocking... so that's why we haven't made the move yet... but I'm still drawn to it. I too love the high gloss white interior & I'm definitely into the esthetics as well as the quality & the capabilities. 😍 Anyways, not sure if the oliver will be THE ONE - but I love your channel. You guys have fun & be safe!
Hi Lorie, We certainly have much in common! It’s crazy how life throws so many unexpected turns, I never in a million years thought I’d enjoy camping! Now I always can’t wait for the next trip! If you get tired of the Anderson hitch, you might look at the Roadmaster Active Suspension system. I put it on my 1500 Sierra GMC and it pulls our Oliver great without any sag. I put an Aluminum insert, with a Bolt lock that uses your ignition key to unlock. So you just back up and hook up. You might look at the Active Suspension online.
We are pretty happy with the Anderson hitch but will give it a look, sounds interesting! Thank you for the recommendation :)

Love your story about being totally new to camping. That's where we are right now, and we've decided on a Oliver Elite II. Still saving up, and hoping to place our order in about 6 months (since we just purchased a pickup truck to pull it!).
We have zero regrets! :)
After 40 years of camping we bought a portable ice maker. Constant Ice has been wonderful. It was from Costco that makes 21 lbs a day if needed.
Good video. Can relate to being a newbie, and not thinking 3 years ago that I would ever own a truck and camper. One correction...there is a network of Oliver owners all over the US that are willing to show off their Oliver. Contact Oliver or check out their website to schedule a visit.
Trey, thank you. Yes, there is a referral program Oliver offers to anyone that shows there trailer to a potential buyer. They will get compensated a referral reward if they buy an Oliver. You are correct, if anyone is interested in seeing an Oliver they can contact Oliver to see if there is one in their area to tour. Most Oliver owners love showing their Ollie!

Kathy- Thank you for sharing your experiences and modifications to the Oliver! We are currently Airstream Classic owners and looking to downsize. The Oliver appears to be very high quality (interior reminds one of a yacht!) and I think we could be very comfortable in it. It's nice to see some fresh videos about the Oliver and I have feeling we might order one as soon as we sell our Airstream! It looks so very well-made. Looking forward to your future videos. We are beginning year 3 and love this lifestyle. Safe travels!

@mobelue Hello. We have a Ram 1500. We bought it new.
The only drawback to the Oliver is the AC Dometic. We are scheduled to update our 2021 to the Truma quiet one in June.
Completely agree, it’s so loud!! We are planning on updating ours as well. Can’t wait!
Great video. As a current owner and a recent follower of your other videos, I concur. Oliver has a solid company plan. They listen to the consumer and attempt to improve as time goes forward. My personal addition is that I now travel with a Clam Shelter (venture model) for more bug free outdoor space. Lastly your interior recommendations have been quite helpful! #1186

Hey! Congratulations on your new life; I'm happy for you. I just found out about Olivers yesterday and their 4-season-ability and dryness seem so great. A white interior is really important to me, too! You mentioned in this video that you have another video to show us the tour of your new trailer! I went to find it, looked through all your videos and it wasnt there! Have any ideas for me?

Thank you so much for this video. I have been researching and watching TH-cam videos for a while about different manufacturers and models. I keep coming back to Oliver and have been discussing with my boyfriend about buying an rv. He is very leery about camping, and the Legacy Elite II would be the right size if I decide to camp on my own or if he decides to go with me since there are twin beds. One question I have is the wet bath. Is it tall enough and comfortable enough for both of you? My boyfriend is 6’ and I can’t tell if he would be banging his head and having to stoop. Hello, We find the wet bath to be perfectly comfortable for the two of us. It would definitely be tall enough for him.👍🏼
I am trying to make a decision between the airstream and the Oliver. How do you feel about the interior. Especially the bathroom
Hello Fred, We had the same indecisiveness prior to buying the Oliver with buying another AS or the Oliver. The bottom line is we felt the quality was better on the Oliver and we really love the all fiberglass body, molded in cabinets and it being a true 4 season camper. As for the bathroom we’ve always had a wet bath so we are quite use to it. The Oliver wet bath is actually pretty large for a wet bath and we find it very easy and functional for all our “bathroom” needs.
Oh my, we had so many of the same conversations. Starting with, "I will never own an RV!" Oliver 2022 #1181

Hello, we are seeing quite a few posts of people posting that they are selling their Oliver's for different reasons. This is concerning to us? We don't understand why and seems to be a red flag. Just wondered if you could comment?
Hello Michele, I’m not sure where you are seeing these posts for quite a few, currently there are 4 for sale that I’ve seen. Reasons are health issues, not enough time to use and another said they need more space as their family has grown. Every Spring you will see a surge in used RV sales no matter what brand as it’s prime time to sell prior to Summer camping season. Used Oliver’s sell very very quickly because of the small number of them that come up for sale.

We have watched several U Tubes on different makes and models and no matter how tempting they seem, we still go back to liking Olivers the best@ Appreciate the feedback!
