You know, people bash on Gillete Stadium as the home grounds of the NE Revs, but if they fill it up to 30k every game, there's literally no difference between the Revs & Sounders stadiums.
***** its more of the sporting kansas city effect. When you see a revolutions game it looks like no one is there, but a more specific soccer stadium would show a bigger crowd and might generate better buzz
Not John Tavares our logo doesn’t fit with the modern theme of the mls. I’d love a logo like, Inter Miami’s, Minnesota’s, Lafc’s, Atlanta United’s, Austin FC etc
I gotta say as a brit, the progress of the MLS has been fantastic. Its great to see the crowds and noise the fans are making (especially Seattle). Please ignore the fellow snotty Europeans who like to join the bandwagon and hate on MLS as its the cool thing to do. At least in MLS, money plays less of a factor in winning then it does in Europe, in a sense its purer to the European equivalent.
Some europeans hate MLS because they are afraid of US teams in the future. South America, Asia and Africa never stood a chance against european teams and their wealth. But that's going to change.
Thanks so much. Here, it's usually looked down upon to switch teams just for money, unlike in Europe. Yes, there are players who Bandwagon, but hey, here, it's not all about the money.
What a well played series by both New England and the Red Bulls. Red Bulls gave it all they had in both legs, and I'm proud of them. Great advertisement for MLS. Very entertaining series.
After that cross where Oyongo got in the way, the D broke down completely. I saw it coming, "No no no!" Glad the Red Bulls came on strong the later half of the season. Made a great run. Hope Henry stays. Cahill too. Hope we get another DP. Hope the D solidifies. Hope the changes in the off season are the right ones. Looking forward to the new NY rivalry. 2015 is going to be something. Thanks Red Bulls!
LA Galaxy fan here. I really sad for NY RB. I wish they went to the final against LA Galaxy. But no one should underestimate NER. They are a strong team, and way better than I initially thought. The best team will take the Cup home.
Just left a story here in Brazil as well: End of the line? New York is eliminated, and Henry can say goodbye to football New England Revolution advances to the final of the MLS in match that can mark the farewell of French star, who still does not know whether its contract renewed
someone explain to me why they fired Mike Petke? he was a great coached who coached a great team. barely losing to a on-fire New England Squad in the play-offs shouldn't have gotten him fired
Congrats to the revolution advancing- they deserve to. Here's a little breakdown on the red bulls players this game Henry- the best I've seen him play; its a shame that out of his many perfect passes, only one led to a goal Cahill- he's no BWP, but he played well Robles- worst game all year The rest played very well. Keep in mind the red bulls were without BWP, league leading scorer, and Roy Miller, World Cup Costa Rican left back. But, a result is a result, congrats NE, and good season Bulls.
This was a quality game as I expected. I was rooting for the Revs because I did not have hope that NY would play well, boy was I wrong. Such a close game, if only Cahill kicked it in after that textbook pass by Henry. That was such a shame. I feel bad for Henry and NY. Henry is a great player but hes on a team with awful defense and a crappy goalkeeper.
That's exactly right. You need star players, young star players. It will take to produce star players very long time for you, then you have to transfer them now.
So you think that the upcoming success of this league is based on the plays of one player? Henry is a great player, even at his age, but there are plenty of other great players currently in the MLS. You must not watch any other games or pay attention to the rest of the league.
Moises Obeso Jr Great players? Plenty? Hah!... For example who? Do you really know what mean "great player"? Even you can't see in the world often great players. I know just a few players. For example Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldinho. Can you show me any players in the MLS like Ronaldinho? Do you know who he is? Please search on TH-cam"Ronaldinho Best Goals Ever" or "Ronaldinho's best skills" first and then talk or never talk. "Great player"? It even don't make me laugh.
Unknown Person all the players you mentioned are once in a generation legendary players, do you really expect to them come flying out of a developing league that is only around 20 years old??
Unknown Person Ronaldinho is a has been playing in Liga MX. He had his great years but is now a bit irrelevant. I said the league had great player, not world class players. Your Messi's and Ronaldo's play on European team, who's leagues have no salary cap, meaning the richer, more popular teams always win.. For their age Henry, Robbie Keane, London Donovan, Nick Rimando, Clint Dempsey, and many others are helping this league remain at a competitive level, in a league in which any given weekend any team can beat one of the more popular ones. It isn't like the Euro leagues in which you have your same 2 or 3 teams finishing up top. So please, stop wearing you ass as a hat and do your research on a subject, in this case, the MLS, before making idiotic comments and comparing a 19 year old league to players who will always be in the World Class player discussions.
Where's the HAND BALL that the FIRST GOAL BY NEW ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!! ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER THAT?! I know that the referee's didn't see it, but its a hand ball none the less. They gave Henry crap for the same thing nearly a full 3 months when he played in the EPL although it was an international. He should get the pounding. (This is just my opinion so I really won't care for an argument.)
Thank you NBC sports for 3 years of quality MLS broadcasts. ESPN and FOX, this is what you need to strive for.
(this was the last MLS/NBC game ever)
You know, people bash on Gillete Stadium as the home grounds of the NE Revs, but if they fill it up to 30k every game, there's literally no difference between the Revs & Sounders stadiums.
Sounders get about 10,000 more I believe. 40,000.
And I don't think they got 30k average.
They don't lol. I go to most games. If they get 14k its a good turnout. This was great.
***** Was it? Oh well that is great news. I'm not competing or anything, The more the better for this sport!
Tsukihi Araragi
i wonder if they got their own stadium, if that would help draw more fans
*****

It's 2019. Revs still don't have a Stadium. We fired two coaches since this game and hired Bruce Arena.
And ain’t back to the ecf😎
Although I really want a rebrand and new stadium :(
@@-raid-5945 why a rebrand?
Not John Tavares our logo doesn’t fit with the modern theme of the mls. I’d love a logo like, Inter Miami’s, Minnesota’s, Lafc’s, Atlanta United’s, Austin FC etc
@@-raid-5945 actually, you got a point. honestly you have a lot to work with in terms of ideas for a new logo, it would look sick
Great game, but I ended up watching it on mute. The entire game there was a girl screeching on the top of her lungs... couldn't take it anymore.
Agreed. That was pretty annoying.
Hate to be the person sitting in front of her.
I remember going to this game after a friends funeral. The only think that picked up my spirits that day, albeit for not that long. Thanks Revs!
may ur friend forever rest in peace🙏😢♥

Thanks so much man!
Thanks so much.

as a red bulls fan this game brings back bad memories
BRING US TO THE PROMISE LAND, BOYS!!! WE NEED THE CUP IN NEW ENGLAND!!!!!
NBCSN's slomo videography was outstanding this game.
1:27, 2:33, and 6:30
edit out the revs fan that sounds like a dying cat :)
HELL YEAH REVS! The Midnight Riders are galloping towards the Cup!
then we lost in the mls cup finals like we always do
this year was Henry's last chance to be a champion in the US, he's won trophies in England and Spain, but he only won the supporters shield in the US
He won the French Championship too... in 1997.
And a world cup
What a well played series by both New England and the Red Bulls. Red Bulls gave it all they had in both legs, and I'm proud of them. Great advertisement for MLS. Very entertaining series.
Tierney is looking like the next Brad Davis with that gorgeous assist on Davies second goal
I was there in section 103 and it was AWESOME!! #RevsMustWin
#Revsmustlose
#Fuckrevs
Great game to bad NY lost but good luck to NE
Best game I ever went too
Shuttleworth is a decent goalie, but I think he paries the ball too much, which of course causes rebound goals
After that cross where Oyongo got in the way, the D broke down completely. I saw it coming, "No no no!" Glad the Red Bulls came on strong the later half of the season. Made a great run. Congrats. I am still watching.

***** and over in Seattle Schmidt still has a job
Late November, 2014. 480p video for an epic 2nd leg playoff game.
Yes Revs! Quality game to watch :D
So happy for Davies!!! -a dynamo fan
What is the difference between the red bulls home jerseys over the past 3 years. Its been looking identical each year
Tierney looks to be the new Brad Davis lol
This looked epic
I was at this game and the atmosphere was crazy and when it was the final whistle, everyone went nuts. Also, ref was pure shit.
great game
Congrats New England Revolution, but I can't see them winning the MLS cup.
Stonedead1991 this aged well
Kind words there by Petke at the end with the repetetive "Get it done". We sure hope to!
Great Game!
Congrats to the revolution advancing- they deserve to.

Galaxy vs revs final
Ah good times!
Henry should go to FC New York next season ! David Villa + Frank Lampard + Henry !
;) :)
The best part of the final is lift trophy.

Robles is good
Agreed a new left back and keeper will do good to us.
I was betting on the victory of the New york red bull
You'll be paying me those five dollars when LA win >:D
So much fucking bullshit in that game I wish they won poor Henry
I'm sorry for Henry :'(
2 bad teams made it this far and the worse one won... gg MLS
Without Thierry Henry the MLS will be pure crap.
That's exactly right. You need star players, young star players. It will take to produce star players very long time for you, then you have to transfer them now.

I don't watch a lot of soccer, how did the Revolution win if the score was 2-2????
a little late, but they play two 90 minute games. One home one away and they combine the scores. Revs won 2-1 away so the final score was 4-3 revs
I know I'm 5 years late but they won on aggregate, MLS used to do 2-game series where the team with the msot goals of 2 games wins
Wh at the HELL, MLS. Show the damn FIGHT!!!!
The Revs and DC United need new stadiums
DC got a new stadium. The Revs don't even have a picture of one.
Bueno paso el mejor ;)
Still more attendancy than Etihad
haha lol i was there
