@@henkhustle I have stopped buying NZ lotto. I registered with The Lott and only play Australian lotto. Lucky we can play online AU lotto in NZ. It's cheaper, more games and to be honest I have won more times in 6 months than NZ lotto for 7 years.
I didn't realize they had added 2 extra numbers to Powerball. Makes it even harder to win.

I’ve played nz lotto powerball for 15 years haven’t had a major win yet but you never know what’s around the corner it only takes one ticket to win big you can’t win anything if you don’t play just make sure to play smart and don’t waste extra money to play the game buy cheapest tickets etc

I would fix my old car
I would see a lawyer about a blind trust
I would see an account to organise taxes, my spenditure spreadsheet.
I would see a financial advisor about investing my money into a high interest return investment and live off the interest for the rest of my life.

I play the same numbers and power ball every week without fail - I don't drink or smoke or do drugs and don't have any debt apart from my mortgage and make $1380 a week salary so can afford the $45 a week to buy lotto, I save $700 every week as well - I always thought I have a 1 in 30-odd million chances of winning, but then I have a zero chance of winning if I don't buy a ticket - the backdrop to my story is Lotteries gives my charity grants and so I look at it as they are paying all the money I spend on tickets back and more anyway LOL

Too many numbers needed to get even the most derisory of cash prizes. All in all a complete waste of time when the odds are even further stacked against the player. Just another joyless NZ endeavour for the pot less.
BTW I lived and worked in Dubai for 15 years so I’ve already won the lottery re savings. It’s more of a fun thing to do but never take it seriously as it’s a no go if you think you’ll win big here. We don’t, that’s the whole point it’s effectively a charity portal with winnings viewed as necessary function of the business.

Why is there no competition against Lotto ? i'm sure someone could make the prize divisions more fairer and do away with the mega millions jackpots, most people would be happy to win enough to pay off a mortgage for example.
As far as I'm aware, lottery is considered a form of gambling and is heavily regulated so it would be very hard for any competition to happen

1. My uncle’s friend
2. The neighbor of another uncle
3. My employee’s friend
Yes, there were people who actually won the jackpot but they were always within the six degrees of separation from me.
