    Happy to hear you saying to grab a cup of tea. I'm from Sri Lanka. I don't drink beer, whisky, vodka or coffee. Just Ceylon tea! Great video and critical analysis of the tire. Reminds us to keep expectations realistically from the type of tires offered.

    Thank you for the review. I live in the Netherlands. One day I will buy a Africa Twin and buy this tyres from Anlas. I also heard very good things and I checked on internet. They have it in stock in some online resellers.

    Thank you for sharing your honest opinion. To be honest I live in Turkey and I never used Anlas tires. I always choose TKC70 for my KLE500. Maybe my next tires going to be Anlas who knows :)

    All tyres are a compromise. Riding within the limitations of the tyre you have is the answer.
    These look great fir a long trip with a lot of off highway use. Real experience teaches. This was a proper test.
    Good 👍.

    Next time you could try the motoz tractionator gps and give your opinion. Many people say that it has almost the same longevity as the heidenau k60 scout, but more grippy on-road and better offroad. Probably would fit well your journey because of the longevity. Take care.

    • @motorcycleadventures
      @motorcycleadventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can see, from the pictures, where the longevity will come from, but I really doubt that they will provide the same grip off-road.

    • @erosas887
      @erosas887 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motorcycleadventures It is a good test because they say that you can use in different rotation directions for more road(they say 50/50) or more off-road oriented. I have the heidenau k60 scout and I feel it is more like plastic. It has 12000km on my v Strom and I would say it will last more 3000km/4000km. The motoz tractionator GPS has good reviews, but none of the reviews made from a truly adventure rider like you. Take care.

    Do you know, if they are used only one, two or three thousand kilometers, and a puncture happens,
    can you put a TUBE in this tire and continue to use it?

    I don’t know about video accuracy but the front and back appear hardly worn at all. I have something similar on my 300X, and after first changing from MT60’s I found on tarmac had to reduce cornering speed as at high speed I seemed to start drifting, that is in dry, wets another story, same all tyres slow right down.

    11,000 km with that little wear ! Impressive ! Looks like they'd be great "mudders," .
    ..... not necessarily good for us in the North country -- could be scary on the snow, rain and ice..... but then what tires aren't ? Hot, dry climates on questionable roads -- looks like the tires to have .

    Mitas e07+ on the Road only 22.000km at Varahannes with the Crf 1000 Africa Twin, he is a guy From Austria and have more than 1 Million Kilometer with his 2 Bikes. You can find many tire Tests from him in the Internet. Mitas e07 and e07+ on my Africa Twin with 50/50 on-offroad use round about 15.000km and for me the best tire for the Price under 200euro. nice review for sure, I am using road oriented Anlas Capra RD's for a year now after scorpion trail and tourance next ; quite happy with them. They are around 25% cheaper and giving same grip and longevity for my riding.

  • @gjavo6400
    @gjavo6400 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I ride all types of road and off-road (preference) in mountainous terrain, like you but I ride harder (on and off) and with lighter motorcycle (Suzuki DR650 RSE).
    Currently with Anlas Capra X front (90/90-21) and TKC80 rear (130/80-17). I prefer the Anlas tire. TKC wears way faster while I don't notice better grip and TKC is noisier due to straight profile instead of curved like Capra X or Michelin Anakee Wild, and TKC is much more expensive. Only TKC has higher speed rating but I don't go over 120kmh with knobbies, usually cruise 100kmh on highway and is perfectly stable. I will order Capra X rear to replace TKC80 when that's done - probably TKC80 rear will only last 4000km with me.
