Noob here. Using the 5 cost doffy event, why didn't he rest luffy instead so it doesn't untap on the opponent's turn?

The rebecca player can still use the luffy effect on the next turn that's why he chose another character instead.

@@MPCG101 I see. Imo I just think it's better to tap the luffy so that he'll have to untrash another 7 cards and make it harder for him to activate cards that require 15 or more trashed cards. Or maybe play around a potential 2nd copy of luffy. Anyways thanks for the response
