    When I seen that these videos had such low viewer count I actually got sad, this deserves way more

    I don't have an interest in comp TF2 but this sort of knowledge is important for the average plateau'd pubbie that wants to get better. Improving past the point of pubstomping most games without better players to fight against is hard, and supplementary material like this is really the only way to get better outside of playing private games. This information was so difficult to find back in the day, it's nice that this sort of content is more publicly discussed.

    Why don't players offclass to heavy when holding a choke as part of the defending team?

    • @stf2guides973
      @stf2guides973  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The reason why is because when you are holding a choke you aren't trying to just defend. You want to capture mid after the fight if possible and have the momentum to capture their second and last. Heavy is too slow to keep up that speed.
      Also generally, 2nd points in most 6s 5cp maps kinda suck for heavy. There are too many sightlines and flanks, and usually very open. Unlike first point, which usually doesn't have a flank that goes behind the combo (except for cp_gullywash).
      Switching to heavy or engineer (aka hard holding) will mean that you desperately want to keep defense and going on the offense is not part of the plan.
