Changing airflow has a DIRECT impact on heat (more immediate) on or off the beans than adjusting the flame/burner, which affects the drum temp first. There are MANY videos online about airflow & related topics. Happy Roasting
I think that means ‘fully open your roasting machine’s damper’ on 365’F. but i think it is just helpful for diedrich users. because there are many roasting machines, and they have all deferent mechanism.
The difference between good and great coffee is not as high than between good and bad. So a simple basic profile is a good choice. But why regulating by airflow and not by heat?
Hey rocky...are your axes a little mislabeled over the video? The x-axis starts as time but then you indicate the temperature on there. If you need a math teacher consultant, I work for coffee.
Thank you so much for this!! You spoke in the simplest and most helpful Diedrich novice terms.
Great advice! Airflow is a tricky thing to nail down but you've made it simple.

sorry, but the temperatures are in Farenheit ?
Then convert to centigrade if it bothers you. The heat has the same energy no matter how it's measured - only you care - the beans don't...
