The Chargers sleep walk a lot in the first quarter or half of the season, and the division was not always that good. There were years before Alex Smith arrived in KC, that the Chiefs were awful outside of Tony Gonzalez and a few others, the Chargers beat the Raiders 13 games in a row, and the Broncos had inconsistent quarterbacks such as Jay Cutler and Kyle Orton. Tim Tebow, Matt Cassell, Alex Smith, and other QBs had won the division or at least challenged for it. Rivers and company would turn the jets and charge up too late in especially in the month of December barely missing the playoffs with 9-7 and 8-8 records. Rivers is 0-11 or something like that against Tom Brady lead teams. He had seasons, where the Chargers would win the division and get upset by other solid teams such as the Jets, but I figured the Chargers should have won those games to make a statement. Qualcom Stadium at least provided a true home field advantage, and the Chargers would lose there. Rivers had Manning's number when Manning was a Colt and eliminated his teams in back to back seasons to only fall victim to another team. If his team could get passed Manning teams, they could have at least made another AFC Championship game. I know football is about individual team match ups but still, Rivers has had boatload of chances; I can not longer have sympathy and feel sorry for him. He has had stacked teams on both sides of the ball with HOF players, and they still under perform and underachieve. I still think Rivers should have been traded to another teams years ago with a great defense and running game to have the best chance at a title. Even if he was a Tennessee Titan or Jacksonville Jaguar with their running attack and defense especially if Jalen Ramsey was still there would have been ideal for Rivers. The AFC conference is easier than the NFC conference, so Vikings or Bears would not have helped as much to get to the Super Bowl with all those monster teams in that conference.

Isaiah H has he been inconsistent. The next year he won MVP and set a super bowl record with passing yards. They lost that super bowl with an awful defense. Then the year after that he had awful receiving core, where Edelman was suspended for the first four games, Gronkowski was no longer a #1 option. His top guy for the first 4 weeks was cordarrelle patterson. This year Brady has been inconsistent, I agree with that, but not since super bowl 51

The Chargers sleep walk a lot in the first quarter or half of the season, and the division was not always that good. There were years before Alex Smith arrived in KC, that the Chiefs were awful outside of Tony Gonzalez and a few others, the Chargers beat the Raiders 13 games in a row, and the Broncos had inconsistent quarterbacks such as Jay Cutler and Kyle Orton. Tim Tebow, Matt Cassell, Alex Smith, and other QBs had won the division or at least challenged for it. Rivers and company would turn the jets and charge up too late in especially in the month of December barely missing the playoffs with 9-7 and 8-8 records.
Rivers is 0-11 or something like that against Tom Brady lead teams. He had seasons, where the Chargers would win the division and get upset by other solid teams such as the Jets, but I figured the Chargers should have won those games to make a statement. Qualcom Stadium at least provided a true home field advantage, and the Chargers would lose there.
Rivers had Manning's number when Manning was a Colt and eliminated his teams in back to back seasons to only fall victim to another team. If his team could get passed Manning teams, they could have at least made another AFC Championship game. I know football is about individual team match ups but still, Rivers has had boatload of chances; I can not longer have sympathy and feel sorry for him. He has had stacked teams on both sides of the ball with HOF players, and they still under perform and underachieve.
I still think Rivers should have been traded to another teams years ago with a great defense and running game to have the best chance at a title. Even if he was a Tennessee Titan or Jacksonville Jaguar with their running attack and defense especially if Jalen Ramsey was still there would have been ideal for Rivers. The AFC conference is easier than the NFC conference, so Vikings or Bears would not have helped as much to get to the Super Bowl with all those monster teams in that conference.

Chargers easily the most disappointing team in the NFL this season. A team with washed up Flacco is really ahead of them in the standings around the halfway point of the season.
