This video made me restore the faith I lost in my own computer skills. You’re a great teacher for achieving that, it’s the first video of this length that kept me interested until the very last second! Now I’m confident that I can make an animation video of and for our band playing a Christmas song
You could not have been clearer in explaining the step by step process for beginners into how to use Character Animator, fantastic! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this, it was so easy to follow and clear. I'll be binging your other videos now!
it was impossible for me to get started with animation but after watching your videos I am so confident and able to make my own animation, thank you very much.
"Thank you so much for your amazing teaching! Your explanations are always clear, engaging, and easy to understand. You've made learning so much fun and accessible. I appreciate the time and effort you put into creating these videos. Keep up the fantastic work-you're making a huge difference for so many of us!"
Lo estoy viendo... No he podido encontrar un tutorial más completo que este de adobe animate, es extenso y a la vez breve para todo el conenido que abarca...Increible. Gracias!!!
I never comment on TH-cam videos but I have to say your tutorials are extremely well done. I have to go rig up a collection of characters now thanks for help!
Check out sample characters in the app like Chloe. Typically you add a hand group inside your arm group with a bunch of different states and make a triggered swap set to move between them.
Man! You are cool! The best video about making puppets and control them!!! You are the best tutor of that! +++++ Subscribed to your channel! Thanks a lot!
You are such a great teacher!!! thanks to you I could do this I was getting overwhelmed and didn't want to start on a project that I had to do and thanks to you I made it!! thank youuu maaaan!!!! I subscribe !!!
"Now NORMALLY we don't float in the air like this and pivot from our necks" 🤣🤣🤣 Amazing tutorials as always! Literally spent the better part of my weekend watching your videos.
Any solutions for taking characters from Adobe Animate to Character Animator? It seems odd to me that they would leave this program out of the loop. I mean, Fresco? But not Animate? Lol. Only Adobe.
Yeah, unfortunately the main Adobe animation tools of AN, AE and CH don't have great interoperability - I also wish this was better. For now your best bet is to export as an unflattened SVG, rename and organize in Illustrator, and then import that into CH.
Yessss!!! Finally rigging comes to CA! Been rigging and animating in after effects with a combo of CA alpha exports and rigging in AE with rubberhose! WOO!
I really appreciate the videos you make. Im an absolute beginner and almost gave it up, but thanks to this video i got a fresh start and it got me excited to learn much more! X
Wow! Wow! & Them some! You’re amazing in every way illustrating Adobe Character Animator. Thank you for presenting the first steps using this software (Best TH-cam Video I Had seen so far) Well job done😎
That`s a really great tutorial, workflow explained in a very simple way, great tutor, I`ve just installed Adobe CH few hours ago, watched this and 1st tutorial and going for more!! Thanks mate!
Hey Dave! Thanks for all of your videos. Super helpful. We have rigged a few characters with body tracking, but the characters arms are glitchy/twitchy. When working to adjust the sensitivity, the rigging causes the arms to pop up at like 45 degrees at a resting position. Have you seen this or heard of it? Any suggestions possibly?
With any body tracking character I do, I have to do a lot of adjustments in the Limb IK and Body parameters. If the arms are looking weird in a resting position (45 degrees instead of to your sides), usually adjusting calibration (we recommend starting in an A position when calibrating, but you can try other poses and see if they work any better) or which body handles are tracked helps to fix it. We have also internally discussed about wanting to add a "smoothness" parameter to body tracking to ideally smooth some of the twitchiness out of it. Hope that helps...If the problem persists, please upload a video to the official forums at adobe.com/go/chfeedback so we can take a closer look.
Great course - thank you very much! I've installed this program several times, but could never get started and figure out the workflow, but now your videos are allowing me to do that. I use Vyond for client work, but CH allows me to do so much more, especially having the rest of the adobe suite. Vyond is pretty good for a web-based program, but I always have to bring it into PR and sometime do frame-by-frame animation to get the results I need. Seems like a waste to pay for it when I already have CH as part of my subscription. Cheers
Hard to diagnose here - if the problem persists, please upload a screenshot, video, or your File > Export > Puppet file to the official forums at adobe.com/go/chfeedback so we can take a closer look.
Thanks a lot for the vid! I've been learning a lot with it, I'm watching it slowly as I work step-by-step. I'm finishing my first puppet but I still have troubles as I don't want my girl to be Elastigirl, LOL... her limbs stretch a lot and I don´t know how to prevent it. But well, I'll keep researching and watching your videos. Thanks for the help and the learning I'm obtaining :)
Hi, is there a feature to link a layer to another layer that is not the same group like in After Effect? for example Layer A is linked to Layer B, so when I drag the Layer A then the Layer B will follow... I want to separate upper arm and the lower arm, so the upper arm will be behind the body, and the lower arm will be in front of the body and face.. but currently they are not linked even I tagged it as 'shoulder' 'elbow' 'wrist' since it not in the same group
There isn't anything like a pickwhip from AE in CH, but there is a new behavior coming that will allow you to do this (leader/follower): th-cam.com/video/TzXKAJMcCLk/w-d-xo.html.
If no one learns even after watching this video, they can never learn.
You are a great teacher
