    I love the message you are putting out brother! So much wisdom in everything you have said here. Good stewardship and practicality blended together. You had the wind, geese, air hammers and who knows what else going in the background and your message was easy to hear!
    Have a wonderful day Chicken Johnny and Mother Goose!

    Awesome video Johnny, I got to see your Holland Transplanter in Action, I think you are a fantastic farmer and I love listening to you how you explain things, which in fact make sense. Have a good trip and see ya on your next video!

      I love that Transplanter and the new tractor pulls it slower which makes it much easier.

    G'day mate.
    I'm only working with a back yard, but it's really interesting to see your perspective on a larger scale situation like yours. Credit to you for making it work.
    Take care,
    Daz.

    The wind is my major problem. I get strong winds in the afternoon every single day. Tarps in small areas are fine, but not fields. I target fertilizer because I don't want to feed the weeds and sagebrush. Good talk!

      Thanks Cindy I imagine wind and drought would be your biggest struggles.

    Great info! We have a silage tarp that we used to cover two plots, we aren't using any large equipment at this point either, so its beneficial to keeping weeds out and hopefully putting them to seed and death after tilling. At least that's the hope!

    • @chickenjohnny3308
      @chickenjohnny3308  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tarps work very well for pre-germinating weeds and keeping the soil dry in the spring. I just can't keep them from blowing away.

    Farming, the most underrated occupation and the most needed by all of the people 24/7/365 of every year! You do what you gotta do to put food on other people's tables, Go Chicken Johnny!!! :D

    I don't burn plastic either not good for the environment. And snakes under the plastic.

      Snakes why does it have to be snakes. I think I would quit farming if I had to deal with snakes.
