For those who cannot draw so much detail manually, you can add a quick Glowing Edges Filter, with Saturation to 0, and blend multiply after inverting it to enhance the edges.

Bro, been doing PS for a long ass time (self taught) and came across this, the way you brake stuff down is perfect, instill do a lot of my work in PS as if I had one of the first versions... Old dog and all that...but this may change my workflow. Good work

Now apply the graphic pen filter. If the background is black and foreground is white for your image then apply invert (control + I / command + I ) which should fix the problem.
