السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته اخي . Excellent work, God willing. I want to ask you: Will you remove the airbag bulb and make the entire system work in this beautiful way?
Brother your system is not working for spiral cabil and you want to repair for horan and air bag so you can use the same patron for horan and remove the air bag cabil and connected 2omm resistance and now air bag and horan working..
There are 8 separate conductors in that clock spring ribbon cable how come only one connection after the repair? Is the horn wire the only active wire?
@@ibrahimautoelectrician4404 This explains my concern! Also explains the popularity of this DIY repair as well! I always noticed multiple traces on these ribbon cables and repairing only one contact in the repair made me skeptical. However, If the only active signal is the horn it is indeed a successful repair technique. My suspicion is because In the west these cables carry many signals on automobiles including CANBUS and navigation/infotainment system signals which is why I asked. Thus for autos with only a horn signal, this is a 100% sufficient repair. **QUICK TIP** For a "clock spring" or "spiral cable" ribbon cables where multiple signals are broken and required, you can the fix this type of cable. It can be repaired easily if your capable with a soldering iron by the following: 1) Scrape the cable with scalpel/knife on the traces to carefully reveal the copper trace under plastic & flux exposed copper. 2) Use small lacquer coated "magnet wire" and carefully solder these as electric jumpers onto the exposed copper traces you scraped. (Ensuring jumpers are soldered across the tear of all conductors of the ribbon cable.) 3) Use a flexible sealant to cover and reinforce the repair. FREE "MAGNET/JUMPER WIRE" TIP: You can find magnet wire in transformers for free. Any electrical item that plugs into mains or PCB boards will have transformers. Simply disassembling and unwinding the wire on the transformer core will get you endless lacquer coated jumper wire. Just be sure to use larger gauge wire if the repair is carrying substantial currents.
