After almost 17 Years and 2 strokes and on a mobility scooter, now housebound,Lee you rekindeled my interest and am shooting at home now, You have my sincere gratitude my man👍
Wow thank you ever so much. This is exactly what I wanted to achieve from the videos. Something we all can do no mater what. I really appreciate your kindness and support and if ever you need anything drop me a message mate
I used to hate dandelion season and right now in Canada, we don't have any. I can't believe that I am looking forward to it this year! Just discovered your videos and love your presentations and simple explanations. Look forward to more! Great job Lee. As an ex Brit, love the accent! Thanks again Bill Goodwin
Lee, I know how much you have talked about depression and it's real for so many people, maybe more with our lockdown. Your personality and your gift of sharing helps so many people get excited about photography. Thank you so much for doing what you do to help others. Stay safe my friend :)
Hi Lee, I am not sure why I haven't seen his video before. I have have had some fantastic results from following you and your ideas. I will be trying this out over the next couple of days. Thanks Lee, keep up the great work!
I love your attitude to sharing. You have exactly the same philosophy as me. Been to a few camera clubs - no sharing, no advice, very secretive. That's not my idea at all.
Thank you my friend i have been to a lot of clubs my self as a beginner it really did put me off. But I have had some good mentoring from people who love to share tips and tricks. And i promised them I would help people out like they did with me.
I loved doing some lecturing on photography on cruise ships. It was great when people had 'light bulb' moments. I don't do it anymore but I loved passing on my knowledge and helping people. I'm now an avid watcher of your videos. All the best, Sue.
Hi Lee, just discovered you on You Tube. Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing your expertise. I'm definitely going to attempt this. Thanks again.
This is absolutely brilliant, thanks a million for your easy to follow explanation and tips, you have made my day (and the rest of the year), cheers fella and keep up the great work..!
People just don't like telling you as they get afraid you will do better than them my friend I think if someone can do better than me I would be bloody happy that I have inspired them.

Hi Lee well done on your video and well done on keeping it simple so that anyone can do this I have to say the results are amazing I've never really thought about macro photography I will now very much inspired. Well done lee

You have nailed it - Awesome Photographs. I found your channel by accident last week and I've been watching your videos since. My advice to anyone else watching "Watch Lee's video's right to the end" he comes up with these great gems - The Pringles can on the Flash... the shower sponge thing as a background.... Keep up the great work, Lee .... Now If you'll excuse me I'm off to buy a can of Pringles and fire up my camera... Thanks again.
God bless you my friend you have just made my day thank you ever so much for your kindness and support i really do appreciate it please keep safe and happy snapping my friend👍👍
I am so glad I stumbled across your videos, Lee. I own a Canon 5D classic and a few lenses. I have just bought a Sigma 50mm f2.8 1:1 macro lens. I got it cheap because of the autofocus not working. As I only need manual focus, it doesn't matter. Watching your simplistic but artistic approach, I am going to try to be more creative. I have a few dandelion clocks in the garden and will attempt a few pics. Pleased to have subscribed and really looking forward to seeing more of your work.
lol I would if I had any left my self my friend. I am having to go and get them off my friend as I don’t have any left my self. Role on spring, I have never run out before lol
Stumbled across this on TH-cam, really enjoyed it, thank you very much for sharing it could well be time to dust off my macro lens and get my camera out again.
Hi Lee. A little trick I thought of for supporting the dandelion stalks. As you know, they are hollow. Would a disposable wooden skewer fit up inside the stalk of the plant and give you more support?
Hello my friend thank you for watching. You don't need a flash you can get the same effects with a flash light just shine the light onto the background and keep. Oving it around until you get the look you want 👍📸👍📸
Totally new to photography. I have an18-55mm, a 50mm fixed and a 55-200 MM lens. I also have 2 extension tubes. Which should I use to try and recreate what you have done?
Hi my friend first of all thank you ever so much for you kindness and support. I have found better background cards now my friend from of amazon Just typ in holographic card and there are hundreds my friend and there a lot cheaper lol. linksharing.samsungcloud.com/zGhshw1zsqNw
Hi Lee! Love all your videos...thank you! I definitely want to try this. Do you always use an extension tube with your macro lens or can you achieve the same results without the extension tube??
Absolutely loved this video and idea ,you explain everything in easy terms that everyone can understand.Found you on youtube from macro tips photography. Just a question my camera has no built in flash could i use a LED torch or light or try it outside. Thanks for the great idea.
Fantastic. I have been inspired by your videos and had a ball yesterday trying it out. I found the hardest part was making the background visible in the shot. It appeared to be there in live view (I could see the card moving in and out of shot) but in some, it then didn't appear in the photograph. Could it be that it is actually the reflection of the b/g in the liquid we see in your shots? I think it was in mine, despite having the camera so low that any lower and I was catching the front edge of the plate. However, I have one shot in particular that I really like and would really love to show you, but don't know how.
Wow fantastic if you have Facebook you can add me as a friend or i am on Instagram leehall1977. I am so so glad you are finding inspiration that makes me so so happy ❤🙏❤🙏

Just discovered your channel, really appreciate these in-depth videos! About the background paper: is this some sort of plastic or glossy glittery kind of paper? Really like the result you are getting with these! Thanks and greetings from The Netherlands.
Hi my friend yes I mix a little bit of milk with the water. It helps the reflection hold better and it also gives you better colours in the reflection.
Again, like so many other comments well done and much appreciated. one question Lee can you get the dandelion clocks this time of year? as I've not seen any.
I just discovered....after a heavy rainfall all the dandelion clocks looked battered. I cut some, put them in a jar of water inside. Overnight they have all returned to 'workable'. So if you think the rain beat you to it - It hasn't ! Hope this helped someone.
I can't get color cast on milk surface so that no reflection of droplets are clearly visible do you think using a non-shiny background paper can cause this
Most definitely my friend as it will not bounce the colours in the light. Try putting some clingfilm (food wrap) over the top of your backgrounds this will make it shiny
