B Thrasher my department has a plethora of women as PO's. As long as you have your partners back when doing a home visit or when we go on sweeps, then I don't see what's holding you back 😊
So the probation officer says at the beginning about being honest and not wanting the people he supervises to be confused etc. But instead of just arresting him, and being honest when he gets there, he plays a game? He wants to help people on probation but he's glad to help law enforcement? Fuck this guy, for real
There’s helping and holding people accountable for their actions. 2 aspects in being a PO. To just talk about their mistakes, discuss how to correct it, then turn a blind eye on holding them accountable leads to further issues…more specifically keeping the community safe. No PO likes to put people in jail, but it comes with the job.
Currently in criminal justice, can’t wait to go into the field! Not sure if I want to be a police officer or a probation officer yet!

What do you think of a woman being a probation officer? Really wanting to go into this field just wanting to know actual probation officers opinions!
