At first I was getting the 'unknown' error. Asking if it was connected correctly. i thought that my Arduino or rc522 is not working. then i found out that my jumping wire is not connected at all between both ends. Reason is that the jumping wire is breaking somewhere inside if you solder it. Must use pins in between rc522 and jumping wire. Haha.

I set mine up to the diagram in the video but I am still getting FW 0x0=(unknown) as well as Warning Communication failure, is the MFRC522 properly connected?
error I'm in COM 3 and using an aruduino uno R3 board the versioned installed is 1.4.6 can you help me?
sometimes the rfid chineese chips are very faulty... i dont guarantee thats your case but its worth mention it
Got the same problem at first, then I double checked my connection and solder the wires rather than using a breadboard.
now can you solve it? i have that error too
i cann't open only Read UID file. why?

I made a .rar file using Winrar v5.50, make sure you extract it with the same version of Winrar or the latest version.
bro can i use arduino mega in this project instead of arduino uno?

semisal satu hari hanya dapat membaca kartu atau id yang sudah ditentukan cuma satu kali bagaimana mas. misal sudah membaca kartu satu kali dan RFID off itu bagaimana caranya mas ...?
Jika berdasarkan waktu, semisal satu hari, menurut saya cara paling mudah dengan menambahkan modul waktu atau modul RTC, jadi bisa membuat kondisi di programnya lebih mudah, atau bisa juga "diakali" dengan menggunakan fungsi Millis pada kode arduino.

Make sure you do the installation between Rfid with Arduino correctly.
