- One of my favorite mixes by FBI. He gave this to me and the CD "Enlightened" to me in club Kaos in 2001. If you were from Tampa Bay area in the 90's, then you knew FBI, Santana, Craze, Rick West, Huda Hudia, Sharaz, Faline, and all the other great local DJ's. Them and DJ Icey and so many others brought us the real Florida breaks! Enjoy! More to come....

So many good memories, such good times late nineties to early 2000's in Tampa!! Club scene will never be the same. Ampitheater and the " Saturday Night House Party" on 93.3 with Brian Fink and Matt the Brat, 1509, Fantasy Ranch, Floyds at the Hard Rock. Djs FBI, Paul Santana, Craze, Sharaz, Baby Anne, Icey, Gemini, Dj Mondo, and so many others. Will never forget those days! I still have All these classic tracks on my. " Run" playlist running down the Causeway!

20 F'n years later and I'm still listening to this music and it still hits me the same way it did then... it gives me goosebumps... what I love about the music is that it's like my own personal time machine... whenever I'm down it picks me up and takes me back to good music, good times, good people (some are gone now, but always with us in those times) and many, many, many awesome sunrises! 😋 this stuff will live forever! Thanx, this stuff is greatly appreciated!

The clubs in Tampa in the late 90's just unreal times. Those were by far the best times ever. Bringing home a group of girls and staying up for days LOL. Sleeping from Wednesday morning until Friday and doing it all over again.

Grew up in Tampa in the 90's, back when we had MIX96, Club XS and the Amp. Thank you so much for this. I'm in search of an old Icey mix with all the 80's remixes.
This is REAL MUSIC! Not that garbage played on the radio nowadays. I went on here looking DJ Rob E's "Orlando Breakz Volume 1, which is the best one out of all the volumes & fell in love with DJ FBI's" Enlighten". My favorite songs are 1 & 2, how he mixed it. It bought me back to club Firestone and JJ Whispers on Thursdays. I'd be dancing s much, my shirt would be drenched in sweat. Thank gawd for whoever uploaded these on TH-cam as this is what needs to played on the radio and not that garbage that's playing now.
This guy dropped me to my knees the first time I went to club kaos Ybor. A few of these songs all these years later still give me instant blowups. I wrote a book about those days...Ybor Nights. This man was part of those days.

flashbacks like crazy for me in tampa, the after hours the dancing, everyone getting along, looking across the club and all u see is glow sticks or people with sunglasses on blowing up. i can go on n on, hell i may have even partied with some of u. peace!
Those sunglasses were a must-have when 8:00 a.m. came the doors open and you're running across 60 back home to Palm Harbor to open up the garage fire up the decks and keep it going until Sunday night Monday morning loved it made me who I am I'm 45 now started in 95 and 96 with Mr Rick West and the flavors 1509 I was there the night the the infamous mighty mighty Parthenon was shut down music never sounded so good when the building was built with two layers of bricks not a fight in sight needed a ride home have 50 people offering and let's not forget the Smurfs driving the Mercedes and the Mitsubishi's eating those glorious chocolate chip
Tampa, '97, 32 and mean. A hard rock fiend, introduced to the scene then ate a bean so amazing. 20 years later can't find a bean, who needs one anyway? Peace Love Unity, Respect, for Zar Dot and ttk. This was 24 years ago for me but, it feels like yesterday. This music and that scene formed me into the person I am now, and that's a very positive thing!!! I still get down with glow sticks (I've worked for 24 years, honing my glow craft) and play this shit at work every night. I'm always surprised how many people recognize the music I'm playing....all the way up here in SC! I am a raver for life!
Brings me back to the very first Ultra Beach Music Festival In Miami right on South Beach with Rabbit in the Moon and Dj icey The absolute best times of my life!!! BY FAR!!!!!!HEAVEN
OMG ... I did the lights for that event! *( **_Cool_** story to follow)* Do you remember that a dense fog rolled in that night and that for most of the later part of the night, there were airliners coming right overhead, shining their landing lights on the crowd while lowering their landing gear? We were (illegally) firing that laser out over the ocean. That requires what's called a "Non-Termination display permit", and we didn't have one. We just figured we'd fire it until they came and shut us down while we pled *"stupidity".*
Well, the airliners were *_loving_* the light display because it helped them line up perfectly with the MIA approach. Usually, they use a radio beacon to do this, but it was malfunctioning. So ... they told the tower it was perfectly aligned with where they needed to be to head due west and pick up the runway approach! We saw them coming and kept the lasers lower to the horizon to avoid hitting them and were loving their lights scanning over the crowd as they lowered their landing gear!~
Several cops and a guy from the airport showed up and I thought I was going to jail, but they explained what was going on and asked us to _KEEP THE LASERS GOING OUT TOWARDS THE EAST!_ I asked him to ask the pilots to keep dropping their gear as they passed over the beach, and he was like "no problem"! How sick is that?

By the time DJ Hell hit the turntables we were going absolutely crazy with it! The airport guy and the cops even hung around for a bit to watch the insane light show we had going on that night. _Such_ a magical moment! When I told Bunny what happened in the hotel lobby later, he said he was gonna write a song about it, but I'm not sure if he ever did.
STILL REMEMBER....first time rave and E pills (rolllin) was at liquid city rave....in 97 then was hooked going to fantasy ranch, cosmos, cream, DAMN THAT WAS SO MUCH REAL LOVE....IM 47 and still rockin this kind of breaks on my E bike...YO....Trip Hop and jungle--drum and bass too....cant believe PAUL SANTANA is still doing this....love STYLUS an ROB-E too from lando....THAT WAS REAL great part of my life....even though i was introduced to hard drugs at raves I LOVE ALL YALL that was there....miss being young so much....peace and good vibes my people--miss all yall and hope you are feelin happy...
