4k works just aswell and u can almost everywhere play it with max settings. The only game I had to put lower settings was cyberpunk and it looked way better in 4k at high settings, than on 1440p, ultra + raytracing psycho.

A bit late but Hogwarts Legacy is horrible optimized so the area where he is, is more gpu bound but places like hogwarts and hogsmeade are cpu limited.
I haven't decided whether RT is worth it visually yet, but I've mostly left it on with testing. 1440p w/ DLSS Quality looks too noisy even after replacing the DLSS file with 2.5.1, and the utilization is seemingly not accurate either. I settled on running 1.78x DLDSR (3413x1920) w/ DLSS Quality, Ultra settings, All RT and FrameGen on. I'm getting mostly 60-80fps with less frequent dips into the 50s because GPU utilization seems to stay up.
Frame generation helps fix the frame time issues by bypassing your cpu. It sucks that you kinda need it to fix the stuttering. Hopefully they patch it out. Not many people have a 4000 card. Also ray tracing is kinda broken at the moment. Try turning it off until it’s patched and see if you like the performance better?

RT Global Illumination and RT reflections are absolutely worth it, in every game where you can turn it on. RT shadows and RT Ambient occlusion not so much, performance cost is massive and doesn't add much that is noticeable to the scene, unless you are looking at a static frame for a long time.
Hello, I have the same percentage and the video card too, 32 GB RAM, in two channels. But in the game in 2k with rays and the settings are maximum. But why is the video card loaded 70-80% why so? And the monitoring processor shows a couple of cores that are loaded in total

framegen is only good for monitor or tv with 60hz+ its giving me screen tearing using my 4k tv 60hz vsync doesnt work when framegen is on. oh well time to upgrade my tv. :)
I came here because I have the same gpu and I have issues with utilization fluctuating between 50% and 80%, resulting in a lot of stutters and fps drops. I've seen plenty of people with the same issue. I figured I could reduce stutters by enabling framegen and disabling rt, but I still experience some stutters. That's kinda sad cuz it could handle easily over 60 fps with rt without framegen, but it looks like a slideshow having a seizure... any ideas ?
@@Zysperro i7 12700kf 16gb 3000mhz and it's on nvme ssd. I figured it's a cpu bottleneck cuz the game is made with ass and doesn't handle multithread very well, one of the cores is constantly between 80% and 90% of usage
@RetroFizzOsu that and also 16gb of ram is simply not enough for this game. I have 32gigs and the game comfortably uses 20-24 gigs depending on scene. Check your memeory usage adn see if its full (which it should theoretically)
Give it a try, it will limit you in Ray Tracing on newer CPU intensive titles for sure, but you can use DLSS3 to sidestep that issue provided you can hit around 60 fps without DLSS3
Frame generation only looks good at high FPS... I would say you need to hit at least 60FPS without it before you turn it on, otherwise you can notice the generated frame defects, and in some situations it's completely jarring... DLSS 2 in quality mode is virtually indistinguishable from native, and in most cases looks better than native because of the natural AA it applies.
Frame Generation is very good if you already are above 60 FPS. You see, when normal DLSS does it's magic the Latency does not get much of a hit. You get better FPS and response. In Frame Generation you get better FPS but not the Better Response or Latency. If you already have good FPS, FG will help to push to games to higher refresh rate. But if you have, let's say 30 FPS, then FG will make game to run at 60 FPS but at a worse response time. That is you will feel like playing at 30 FPS but will see things move in 60 FPS. Why all this is happening? Because one AI frame is used between 2 game frames or so.
Hi, I've just bought RTX 4070 Ti (Gigabyte Aero), with 13600KF, RAM DDR5 32 GB (600Mhz), and my GPU uses only about 150W and i got worse performance then you. It works at 2925 Mhz (OC made in MSI Afterburner) but its not constant - value jumps and changes during the game. What can be cause of this (low power usage and worse performance)?
Id say a cpu bottleneck somewhere that lower your gpu usage so the power draw that’s why frequency fluctuates. But given the nice cpu you have something else is bottlenecking. I thinks this is just poor optimization.
thats a shader utilization bug or something like that, I had that too, switching settings / tabbing in and out fixed it for me, it also fixed it by itself sometime I think this will be patched very soon, thats not the real performance.

All i want is 1440p RT on with 60fps for games like this and this card seems the choosen one so far
that is a great improvement with these features on, these type of games definitely can take advantage of these features.
Looks like sloppy UE4 CPU problems but alot of ways around that, such as framegen or disabling RT.

This card has one issue, vram shortage. Thats why 4k ultra and 1440p ultra runs below 60 fps.

What ram and CPU do you have? Is the game on a SSD?
